I tend to eat a lot of what I'd classify as "bachelor chow" - frozen pizzas, cans of tuna, pasta in sauce. I'm actually a pretty good cook and enjoy cooking, but funds are tight so no bacon-wrapped scallops for me at the moment. Loading... Hey guys, it's Mags again. I'm gonna spin a couple more SXSW artists. I'm not gonna go crazy with it, just on a Saturday here and there. Because believe me, I could fill at least 3 weeks, but that seems a bit excessive, so just a few highlights.
This one is Gossling. I saw them at the Aussie BBQ, which featured exclusively bands from Australia. I picked them over the other band I really liked (Miami Horror) because I immediately developed a huge crush on the singer. Shallow? Probably. Am I sorry? Not in the slightest.

The songs they did at the BBQ were a little more electronic(?) than this one, which I felt suited her voice better.

She went on at like 6:30 in the morning on Thursday before The Hold Steady. My friend and I agreed Nicole was our favorite artist of the morning.
"Girl You Look Amazing" starts around 7:15, which she played on Thursday and was in my head most of the rest of the day.

This is my oldest male cousin Jacob. He's four years younger than me. My oldest cousin is his big sister. Often times when we got together when we were younger, the girls - my little sister and his big sister - would always play together, and Jacob and I would play together. I haven't seen as much of him as an adult as I would like, but we're working on seeing each other more often.
This is an original work of his. I'm really proud of him not only for his talent, but having the guts to put himself out there like this. I couldn't imagine opening myself up like that for the world to see.
