As soon as this came out, a 2 year-old Ezra Koenig didn't know what exactly he was talking about, but damned if he wasn't gonna figure it out...
*tries to figure this out; fails miserably*
Vampy Weeks sounds like Graceland was essential in their musical development.
Scott Diamond on the Soles of My Shoes; You Can Call Me Al Newman; Homerless (ode to Ben Revere); ii know what ii know; Crazy Love (aka Gardy and Punto)... so many great songs on Graceland!
An all-time classic; coincidentally, I just downloaded it yesterday. I know the album so well that listening to it has become nearly redundant, but even so I figured I should have it at hand since my CD and cassette copies are long gone.
With his triple on Wednesday, I thought that Revere was one tigger CF slip from having his first HR. Would have totally made up for how badly the Twins have sucked in the games I've attended this year. (They were tied through 9 on Sunday, but no one around us thought that the Twins could actually win.)
next weekend they'll be playing under arlington skies!
The first line, "Joseph's friend...", clearly refers to Mauer.
Absolutely love the Graceland album, we say Simon live during Born at the Right Time Tour. Fantastic show, possible the best I've seen.
a rare 10 from me, rhu_ru. i remember seeing this concert in its entirety somewhere and was amused to watch little paul simon surrounded by nothing but giant african musicians. great show.
Yeah, besides some of the "other" stuff I posted during my week, I also went for the easy cash grab.
Loved this CD when it came out, and this was my favorite track on it.
