Depending on the day, my third favorite song off Goodbye Yellow Brick Road.
1. I watched the whole thing and I saw Bryan Adams, Eric Clapton, Phil Collins, maybe some other guys from Genesis. I did not see Prince. I feel lied to. I think he could have brightened the song up at the end there compared to Clapton.
2. This song's title needs a pair or two of parentheses. I'm going to try out some options:
A. Saturday Night's Alright (for Fighting)
B. Saturday Night('s Alright for Fighting)
C. Saturday Night('s Alright (for Fighting))
D. (Saturday Night's) Alright for Fighting
E. (Saturday Night)'s Alright for Fighting
F. (Saturday Night)'s Alright (for Fighting)
I think I like the nested parentheses of Option C.
(Saturday Night's Alright for) Fighting
OOh. How did I miss that?
Or
H. Saturday Night ('s Alright for) Fighting
I. ((Saturday Night's) Alright for) Fighting
J. (Saturday) Night ('s Al) Right (for) Fight (ing)
K. (Sa) Turd (ay Night's Alright for) Fighting
"Turd Fighting" FTW!
That's what I get for trying to be cute with British syntax and shite.
I Googled "Prince's Trust", it turns out it refers to the Charles, Prince of Whales, some cetacean royalty. I assume that means the money went to Greenpeace.
I want to know why Bryan Adams needed a mike. Also, I believe the guitarist in the ballcap may have been Rick Nielsen from Cheap Trick.
I thought it might be a Cheap Trick guy, but everyone else seemed British or Canadian.
The guy's name is Midge Ure.
Bass player is Prince's Trust standard Level 42's Mark King, and the keyboardist above and behind Elton is Level 42 keyboardist Mike Lindup.
