Emmylou is the quintessential case for how hawt grey hair can be. Also, she's a great singer.
A headshot from when Emmylou performed on campus circa 1980 or so is hanging in our hallway. It has the red wax pencil crop markings from being circulated from the Union Theatre to one of the newspapers.
Her voice is one of my favorites, and was perfectly matched with Gram Parsons’; Grievous Angel is one of my all-time favorite records. One of the community radio stations around here plays “The Sweetheart of the Rodeo” occasionally. (Emmylou’s background singer — Dolly Parton!) Achingly beautiful, and I always sing along.
Karen on "Good Bones" has either started going gray/stopped dying her hair. It works for her
Shit, that’s an all-star lineup to boot. Buddy Miller playing electric mandolin, Tony Hall on bass. And the drummer is Brady Blade, Jr. — Brian’s older brother.
