I knew that there was something I was gonna do this afternoon.
Does Anaheim qualify as La La Land? Disneyland, yes. When Disney owned the Angels (back in the Anaheim Angels days), the whole ballpark had a Disney feel to it. The area outside looked like walking down a street in Disneyland and the ushers looked like Disneyland workers with straw hats and green suit coats.

It'd also put the Twins only 1 1/2 behind the Angels. (My top desire for the season right now is for the Twins to finish ahead of the Angels.)

It looks like the Twins' company line now is that they are awesome at fielding(don't look at the OF).
Current OF might be the best all season. Herrmann seems to have more speed than Parmelee, at least.

Angels are at Oakland tomorrow, so they do need a travel day. Of course, Oakland isn't exactly a long trip.
It's not just the Twins. The Angels just don't care. I think every team in the league retaliates against them when they can.

Surprised Gardy didn't throw a bigger fit. Seemed like the pitcher only needed "ordinary effort" there. Since it's a judgment call, I don't think the robots would have helped 🙁
He didn't need to pitch a fit. All he had to do was walk out and say, "That was hopelessly bogus. We're playing under protest." and then walk back casually to the dugout.
There needs to be an umpire review of that infield fly. I can't believe after that outfield infield fly in the playoffs that the rule isn't a major part of umpiring instruction.

I suppose the bar is set lower for Twins pitching, but I'll take 6 innings/5 K out of Pelfrey every outing.
also, maybe a team is watching and will offer a mid level prospect for Pelfrey's services.
With the understanding that Weaver is a good pitcher, i don't think Gardy should ever field that lineup again.

He could have had Arcia and/or Parmelee around. Of course, we have no way to know whether that would've made a difference.
I think Ted Barrett needs to watch that play again.
I watched the replay thinking it'd be borderline, but no, he was pretty much camped under it.
It wasn't a bunt, it was a fly ball, and an infielder was right there and could have caught it with ordinary effort.
Furthermore, I think it took extraordinary effort for Fiero to not catch that ball.
Crew chief Ted Barrett is completely wrong. There's a rule that says you can't even deliberately drop a line drive so you can get a double play in that situation. They blew the call, plain and simple.
Last year in Anaheim, the Twins got zero hits off Jared Weaver. This year, they got two! That's, like, infinity times better, right? With that rate of improvement, we're bound to win every game left! We'll just have to settle for 107-55!
