Remember that ugly 9-3 loss against the Rangers? That was the last time the Twins were beaten.

The Twins still have the worst record in the AL. More work to do!
virtual tie with the Royals, and 7½ games made up in the standings since the end of May. I'm okay with that kind of progress.
Happy Father's Day, WGOM fathers (and their fathers)
I've been thinking of Father's Day for a couple of weeks now, but last night when scheduling this Cup of Coffee it didn't occur to me. Oops.
Happy Father's Day, Nation.
Truly, a testament to how terrible they were before this excellent stretch.
13-3 in june, and they're still last in the AL? yyyyyup.
Don't you mean 14-3?
Twins were worst in baseball. Now ahead of Astros, Cubs, Padres and Dodgers and in a virtual tie with the Royals (Royals have slightly better win percentage). Twins are 8-2 in their last 10 and every other division team is 5-5 or worse.
Baby steps.
Two free tickets to today's game (you'll have to sit next to Sheenie and me). If interested, call me at edited to remove phone number. I'll come meet you at a gate to hand them to you (we're going there early now so Sheenie can try to get her Neshek jersey autographed).
Stupid Washington. I'd love to go to another Father's Day game with Skim (and another against the Padres, which would have created an unlikely tradition).

Sheenie was successful in getting her jersey signed. I'll post pictures when I get them downloaded.
For the Nation's lawyers, if you have any clue:
Stef bought a skydiving trip last year, June 10th. She bought a 2nd jump for a discounted price, but the stipulation was she had to use it within a year. She called them and they are sticking to that year deadline.
I know in Minnesota, it is illegal to have a gift card expire, but this is different. First, it's a discounted price. Second, not sure it meets the definition of gift card. From a moral standpoint, I would say the company should be allowed to have expiration dates on discounted offers, but would be forced to offer her the option of paying the difference between the discounted price (money she already gave them) and the full price and get another jump.
Happy Fathers' Day to all the Dads, Pas, Daddys, Fathers, Padres, Papas, and Popses in the WGOM diaspora. I hope you're enjoying a little relaxation with those who give you that awesome title.
I believe I'm being treated to a nice meal at a family owned Italian restaurant, and the 4:15 Rango at the dollar theater.
My plan involves the Boy taking me to see Thor or X-Men: First Class, then for him to grill marinated chuck steaks for burritos while I kick back with a beer.
The Boy taking over the grill (and working on some future Dad skills of his own) seems entirely fitting.
And somehow she thought of me when she sent me a link to this video

My celebration included a few cards drawn by the girls, several Deschutes brews - Twilight (Summer) and Inversion (IPA) this time, the Milkmaid's divine beef stroganoff and some other unmentionable Milkmaid-related things. Oh, and a Twins win.

All in all, solid.
It hurts my soul to see Casilla in the #2 spot and Nishioka hitting seventh.
It hurts me more to see Tolbert anywhere in the lineup.
Casilla has the 2nd best OBP of the nine people in the lineup today. That is the sad part.
Rest in Peace, Big Man.
I had "Jungleland" blaring on the drive to Target Field today. Blaring.
Man, I cranked that one today, too.
It seems quick, but it's probably one of those where the sickness was shielded from public view like Dennis Hopper.
Cheers, Clemons.
He hadn't been particularly healthy for years, but the dude had a stroke. That's the sort of thing that can kill you quick.
This just in: X-Men: First Class just as cool, and more plausible than a Butters walk-off.
S-N-P posted his draft board for this Thursday's NBA Draft tonight.
