The Twins have a 3-10 record on Mondays this year.

And now, this week's View from the Ballpark:

The short porch is in the wrong outfield, or I'd guess the Bandbronx.
Or a prison, the percentage of inmates/felons in the stands is about the same, right?
That's got to be a prison. The walls look to be about 20 feet high and that sure looks like a guard tower in the upper right.
Yeah, it's gotta be. Unfortunately, a google search of prison yard baseball diamonds show they aren't as rare as I would've thought. Gonna be digging around for a while.
You and bhiggum are correct. However, I'm looking at a satellite photograph the yard now and I don't see a guard tower. I think what you're seeing as a guard tower is actually the outer wall of the prison laundry (hint hint). And yes, the ball diamond is still there.
Is that Rick Vaughn pitching?
Denny McLain?
Well, it sure looks like this picture of Alcatraz, but the angle is different enough I can't be sure.
And this picture pretty much confirms it is Alcatraz. The steps are pretty unique and the alignment of the diamond is the same.
You got it! This week's photo was sent to me by our very own Can of Corn. He sent two shots from his tour of the island, including a shot of what the yard looked like when he was there. I'll add the second one to the post.
I like the water tower in the second one. It wouldn't have helped me find it, but it's amazing how obvious it is in the second picture but you can't see it at all in the first.
Your clue about the building not being a guard tower helped a lot- 'specially when you mentioned you were looking at a satellite photo and the yard was still the same. Made me start checking for more historic-type prisons and less, well, still-being-used prisons.
Ah, I thought that "still there" might imply the prison was still active. Giving clues which are accurate but sufficiently obfuscated is easily the hardest part of this series.

Big House Fidrych?
Hey, a rally.
