Late last night, I was thinking of "Choo-Choo-Choose You", and I realized I'd make my wife a VDay card on the computer with a pic of a dog that's eaten something up. "I Chew-Chew-Chews Ewe" if I can get it to be a sheep toy. But then I see that CER attached gum to her handmade vday cards saying "I Chews you as my valentine." I'm still doing my thing, but my thunder's been stolen.
The wife got me a mixed sixer for today. True. Love.
Bud light and Coors?

No, we were all full up on cleaning supplies already.
'twere "Fancy beer"
Well, I got her a baby, but it arrived five days early, and I couldn't just leave it in the closet.

I could have done that better. Hashtag should have been:

after a long hiatus, i'm starting to watch some breaking bad again. i just met saul goodman.
ABQ is chalk full of lawyers like Saul.
Whoa. You have so much pulse-pounding awesomeness to look forward to.
Saul is probably my favorite character in that show.
I'd go as far as to say that Saul is the only character on the show that I enjoy watching.
Bob Odenkirk is awesome. And yeah, probably the only likable character on the show.
I like Walter Jr. well enough. And Hank's mostly a good guy. (Actually, I like a lot of the characters, but I have a tendency to like anti-heroes.)
I have a hard time fielding this because what I like in a character and what I like in a character are two very different things. Jesse's my favorite character, but I wouldn't want to hang out with him on a regular basis. For some, the two ways of looking at it are just one, and I get that.
Ah, yeah. When I think/talk about liking characters, I find I almost always mean in the latter, character sense.
I usually do too, and I tend to forget that it isn't necessarily the norm.
Right, I'll stress again that I really like Badger.
My favorite character since his introduction has been Mike.
He is fantastic. The actor (Jonathan Banks) has been ubiquitous on TV for years but rarely as more than a guest star. It seems he was brought on in a one-shot capacity here, too, but as the guys get deeper into things he turns out to be close to a regular. Maybe that was the plan all along, but his acting had to make it an easy decision.
so i was right. i could tell right away that he was going to be a thing.
Sorta like Checkov's Lawyer.
So on a work call this morning, I mentioned how I got the wife a V-Day card (in Spanish as we are going to Chile soon) and a box of chocolates. And she got me zippo/nada/nikto. All the guys on the call went "YEEEESSSSS!!!" (i.e. one-up there).
NBBW just walked the house after work with with a basket of surprises, having scampered for something after work. Short-lived victory.
the wife is on vay-kay with the boy at her parents place. she sent an email telling me to be sure to check the mail today because she was waiting for an important letter. i found the valentine's card she mailed to the house with instructions on where to find the 4-pack of this she had hidden before she left (i'd recently mentioned that i was very curious about that one, but had never tried it).
my first thought was "dear lord, i do not deserve this woman".
Let me know how it is. It's here but has never particularly caught my eye.
Its interesting and well worth checking out. I haven't had it in a few years, so I can't really say specifics about the taste, but it won't be a drain pour.
I will ditto all of the above. I haven't had it in years either.
However, Dogfish Head makes me nervous. I once had a bottle of this which tasted like everclear that had had raisins steeping in it for a few weeks. It needed another decade or so of bottle conditioning.
Here's what Jason of the Bro's had to say about it in 2002:
This beer certainly has some chill haze problems, the head was not much better either. Smelled of rum, caramel, raisins, solvent alcohol and some other odd fruit.
The taste was the same with more of an expressive solvent alcohol that bordered on a rubbing alcohol flavour. Syrupy and slick with sweet malty and alcohol flavours, a bit softer and more palatable than in the bottle.
Solvent/rubbing alcohol was about right.
I've had some QC problems with Dogfish Head as well. In fact, the first time I ever had it, this was at play, so for a long time I just assumed it was terrible.
the idea behind it is what drove my curiosity. it's cooling as we speak.
I enjoyed the midas quite a bit, but I'm not sure that I want to drink it every day.
NBB: you still get full credit for the victory, as it is obvious that she got your gifts in response to yours. Also, you win because she got you stuff.
The West Hartford Beer Cave was out of Cap'n Lawrence Imperial Red IPA - but had Lagunitas Imperial Red Ale. Not as mas fina as the CL, but pretty good. Giver.
Also on the checkout list is Widmer Bros ROTATOR Series and Stoudts Double IPA. Will post results from our 6-sigma scientific survey.
man, the Gophers are getting hacked under the basket and the refs are swallowing the whistle. Also, the Gophers have the Wolves disease with silly turnovers and missed jump shots
oh my gosh, Jeremy Lin is having one hell of a week. Cold blooded 3 pointer with .5 left of the clock to win the game
The odds are dropping precipitously for that Knickerbocker Championship bet.
Don't worry. Melo will be back any day now.
I just saw a promo on ESPN...ESPN U is going to air a Kentucky basketball practice live. bottom of the barrel in programming ig you ask me
as mentioned, jane's out of town, which is why i was able to finish season 2 of breaking bad just now (i, like everyone else, did not get the bit with the episode names). so far, this is one of my favorite moments in the show:
while i don't think the writers were trying to pull a gotcha, i still wasn't a fan of the reveal for the teddy bear and body bags. i understand what they wanted it to mean, but i still didn't like it very much.
You can see casa del carne burning up as part of the news footage following the season ending incident. I cry a little inside every time someone brings up season 2 of breaking bad.
wait, what's this now?

The guy they interview in this shot didn't actually live in the building. He was some sort of fame seeking individual....
Yeah, all my stuff went up in that fire, but we had renters insurance.
i think i saw which clip you were talking about. as for this a-hole, really? who does that?
Paging cheaptoy...it's about politics, but likely not forbidden zone political. Way to go People's Republic!
The law's language has been ignored for decades, as homemade brewers and competition organizers said they didn't know about the transport ban.
except, what's a "homemade" brewer - that's a new one to me...
Haha, yeah, I read about that a couple weeks ago. My only question now is who the "1" was. I will need to look that up and egg their house while on a homebrew bender. If this doesn't make it through the assembly, I'm starting a protest at the capital.
Last night I snapped the handle on the door of the washing machine. Trying to find a store and replacement part is a bitch in a foreign language.
Nice, Rhu. That got me smirking.
a nice example of sexual selection.
this made my morning

Widmer makes (made?) a very respectable milk stout
