Star grab, indeed.
Speaking of star grabs, I can't believe I only recently saw Prince's 2004 performance at George Harrison's (and his own) induction into the RR HoF. If you haven't seen it, it's well worth your time. "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" with Tom Petty, Jeff Lynne and George's son Dhanni. (Mr Nelson goes off at the 3:30 mark.)

I'm imagining that Prince was not part of the plan for this song, but like Billy Idol in "The Wedding Singer" they pretty much let new inductees do whatever they hell they feel like. So once he hears the song playing, he gets inspired, heads backstage, picks up his guitar, walks out there and does that.
I would have to give that clip a 10: 5 for the first half and 15 for the second half.
That appearance by Prince just made me sad about the New Power Generation and the "symbol" period. He used to actually play guitar.
