Huh- the Twins players out there for defense look strangely like the players I saw play last night. Are they batting in the same order?
you would think that a big time All Star in Jimmy Rollins can get his name pronounced correctly by Bert Blyleven. 'Jimmy Rawlings'
PJ Walters is getting a bit unlucky with those hits. Pierre hit it just out of the reach of the 2Bman, and Pence hit it off the end of the bat, but landed in front of Span.
Hoo boy...
well, thats not good.
Well, this is not good. I wonder what's broken on PJ.
We'll find out when he goes on the DL after another short start (after skipping his next one of course).
We'll get an idea of the general area of his body that is hurting, but we won't know what really is wrong until he has surgery at least two months from now.
What was injured? Walters' pride?
I read Gardy's lips during the conversation on the mound. He say 'you gotta be honest with me' at least twice.
I really feel for P.J. He's a fringe MLB pitcher and he's finally getting a legit shot at a rotation spot and then he gets hurt. At least his paycheck is guaranteed.
Good points; agreed.
We're all going to laugh about this when the Twins score eight runs in the bottom of the first.
beat me to it
uh, bottom of the second.
Going to need an 8 run inning tonight
Well, we got to 8 runs... Happy to see them get back in it at least.
gee whiz, that was a nifty play.
Wow, Martinez impresses with the leather.
What's the over/under on LTEs tonight? Unless the Twins mount a furious comeback, I am projecting 19.
Hey fellas, hows the game going-ohdeargod.
all he does is hit homers!
PLOUFFE-DA!!
Its Trevor Plouffe's world and we are all just guests in it.
Plouffe-da. What a monster that guy is right now.
I spookied that Plouffe donger. Dude is on fire.
Plouffe has more HRs this year than ARod, Pujols, Prince Fielder.
What up OGs? I just got back and am packing for my trip tomorrow! What did I miss?
Oh God. Just got the game fired up. WHAT DID I MISS???
Bad starting pitching and a Plouffe HR. In other words, the usual.
Revere really seems to be hitting the ball solidly these days. It would be awesome if he could stay like this.
that was cool!
TWINS BASEBALL!
Just noticed the asterisk. Fantastic use of the game number, yickit.
Trevor Plouffe's OPS+ entering the game (not including his HR): 123.
Cuddiier's two best seasons: 124 and 125.
And Plouffe has a .219 BABIP.
wow, Doumit, that at bat was embarrassing
I'm getting over a stomach bug that waylaid me for a couple days, but Mrs. Twayn made her chicken parmesan tonight and I'm suddenly feeling a bit peckish again.
Did an open water swim at Square Lake on Tues in prep for upcoming Tri.
I think too much lake water in the sinuses. Quite stuffed up.
mashed taters
that was a double order
JI JIM!
That ball should have a flight attendant on it.
Still mashing taters.
Strangely, this is the sort of thing I expected last night.
Ji
Jim!!!
/Posted in Minny.
I liked it better when Thome was mashing for the Twins.
After some debate, I've decide to go back to Twins announcers. The idiot you know is better than the idiot you don't know, as they say.
Just what sort of crap did I walk into here, you guys?
Thome hit an 8,000 foot home run.
I actually would have liked to see something like that.
Go to the MLB.com videos and watch it, spooky. Over the batter's eye in center field. It takes your breath away.
That's barely an exaggeration. I think it went 460' or something.
I loved the standing ovation for JI JIM. That was cool of the fans in Target, and deserved.
Blamo.
Now mlb.tv has decided to crap out on my entirely. Well played, internet, well played.
Seems like it's working again--knock on wood.
The picture still sucks, and it's frozen on me once already, but I'm still calling this a win.
SchreibeStank turns the shutoff valve.
WILLINGHAMMER
*looks at scoreboard. Decides to go to dentist appointment instead*
Hey BS, guess where I'm going tomorrow?
I have to say, I'm surprised bS hasn't guessed correctly yet.
Greek, you will have to look for Mrs. S, class of '87. She will be there as well.
but, you are going to miss the good part of the game!
THE TWINS ARE GOING TO WI
WIN THIS GAME!!!
Oh my god, they're bringing in Bastardo!
Come on, somebody was supposed to chime in with "You bastards!"
Screw you guys, I'm going home.
Tying run at the plate!!!11!!one!!
Now at first! No outs!
This is like 99% victory for the Twins.
Now 99.9%. I'll let you check the math.
Oops, back down to 99%.
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYY!!!
Oh cool the game got interesting !
Did Doumit get mascara in his eyes?
I wanted that tying run.
Evening, folks.
Good God, who put a quarter into Plouffe!?
I think it was one of the Queer Eye guys.
This a good sign, Gray is in to vulture the win.
What the...?
Kinda wish they'd left Thome in there to run.
This is not good.
Only like a 7-8% chance of a run scoring, isn't it?
Make that 0%!
Zeros are sexy!
But not this zero.
So mlb.tv decides NOW would be another great time to crap out. Great.
*prepares the BOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! hotkey*
c-rap
Yup.
Boo
Well, that ending sucked. After the Twins got within a run and had runners at second and third and no outs in the seventh, Twins batters finished the game going 0-for-10 with six strikeouts. From unstoppable to totally whiffable.
Good effort from the boys tonight. They simply dug too big a hole early. We'll just have to settle for 126-36!
PJ was not very "decilious" last night. What is the word on his injury?
Mom wrapped the PB&J in plastic and it got crushed by the apple before lunch.
