Oklahoma City really needs to work out the Kinks if I'm gonna cover my bet.

Picture quality blows, but the audio is pretty sublime.

one of my favorite tracks off the fantastic Muswell Hillbillies release. Ray Davies wrote dozens of songs about lonely people and their escapes from reality or crappy situations, and this is one of the best examples.
This artist captures that spirit in this recording.
Conveniently enough, James Walbourne was born in the North London community of Muswell Hill, so he knows from whence Mr Davies speaks. Hell, he knows Mr Davies.

Boquist has been a good friend of mine for nearly thirty years. He'd often talk about this cool kid he met in London that could play guitar like he was ringing a bell.
that was fantastic. I love the bluesy arrangement (here is how Ray and the rest of the Kinks preformed it in 1977 on the Old Grey Whistle Test)
I would rate that 10 stars!
