I'm pretty sure that this album and OK Computer came out around the same time and were HUGELY influential on my musical tastes going forward. The whole album holds up really well.
This. Also, to this day, I absolutely adore Bitter Sweet Symphony - no matter that it was overplayed to death from it's release in '97 until probably 2001.
For as many killer songs that the band had, there were an equal amount of formless, meandering ones--most of A Storm in Heaven, for example. Still, when the drugs did work, they were awfully good.
Oh, so it's not an Emerson, Lake and Palmer cover?
