ft. Little Walter (1967)
I love the growl she gets in her voice.
For two years, the Brown County Fairgrounds of New Ulm hosted the Minnesota Blues Festival. Each was a two day event, and I was able to afford time off from the grocery store and a ticket enough for one day each time. The first year, the headliner on the day of my attendance was Koko Taylor. Don't know what the white side of white town did to deserve artists like this, but I'm glad I was there to see her. (The next year's headliner on the day I attended was Son Seals.)
Here's another fine recording, with Buddy Guy on guitar, and Willie Dixon (songwriter) helping out on vox.
Just by coincidence, she shares a first name with my firstborn.
Great song, but the video & audio are totally out of sync. Makes watching the video kinda disturbing.
My synch is good.
