Last night I emailed the contestants in one of my writing games to tell them the results were delayed thanks to a flood above us that's destroying our ceiling. Daneeka's Ghost pointed out that I'd named the CoC "Ceiling" yesterday, and he had a suggestion about what to name this one. Here's hoping!

One Million Dollars
That's one heck of a damage estimate.
Oh no...what have I done???
...I suppose it would all be on the complex's bill, though. I can live with that.
Didn't your ceiling bring a problem?
My theory was that spooky called into existence a situation caused by his CoC title. Might as well try and harness that power for good.
(hehe at the "I'm the seer" tag, spoons)
Har...I wondered if anyone would notice that.
Your approach was pretty interesting, but needed to be fleshed out a little more.
Something like "Winning Lottery Jackpot Ticket"
Sweden's arkivdigital is free this weekend, so I'm doing some more genealogical archeology. I've had a couple 10-day subscriptions in the past, so I have a pretty good pile of Swedish records so far, but this morning I've found some good stuff on one of my father's lines from the 1800 timeframe.
Didn't exactly make out all of that, but that you are Swedish. I did the Roots trip a couple years back, and found the church where my grandfather was baptized.
Interesting graveyard - only Olssen, Larssen, Johanssen, Peterssen, Svenssen, Bengtssen, Magnussen, Jenssen, Amundssen, etc. They dropped the ssen and went to son at Ellis Island.
My father's father Jöns Alfred was the last of my ancestors (or my wife's, for that matter) to come to America, and the only one late enough to go through Ellis Island. Interestingly enough, one of my brother's added back the second "s" to his last name when he got married, which I thought was cool.
Anyway, I barely knew my father's dad, but he filled a doorframe very well. He served in the Swedish navy, and somewhere (probably lost, unfortunately) the family had a photo of him and the rest of his shipmates standing on the deck of a Swedish battleship.
Well, it's a not a million dollars, but I do have a delivery
Congratulations, sir. My advice to you is to get as much sleep while you still can.

Awesome. Congrats.
(I gotta be just about the last non-married and/or non-child one left)
A nation lives vicariously through you.
No pressure.
Chelsea is looking real good you guys.
Whoa, thanks for the mention. I completely spaced what day it is.
Huh. I guess we need six more sites like this for you, spoons.
We really do. My schedule hasn't been the same for two weeks in a row since May. Once I'm at work, I've completely forgotten date, time, day, year...
I'm imagining spooky's browser now automatically loading all seven isit___ sites in tabs every time he opens it. He carefully studies each site before closing the tab...
Now I'm giggling to myself.
Hmmm .... With the Dodgers completing their blockbuster deal, I wonder if the Giants would be looking to add some offense by trading for a slugging first baseman who is making a lot of money. Or maybe looking to add to an outfield that got hurt by suspension.
It looks like they're looking for outfield help.
It sounds like the Dodgers deal started after they couldn't get something worked out for Justin Morneau. I wonder if they claimed him and the Twins pulled him back or if he made it through waivers. I guess I'm not sure what they Dodgers were offering, but if it was Rubby de la Rosa or Allen Webster that would've been nice.
Neil Armstrong has taken his last step.
Tough week for Armstrongs.
FOX 'national' game this afternoon. Here is your broadcast map
It doesn't get much sadder than this. Nurse mistakenly throws kidney intended for transplant into trash.
So I was watching this really cool LLWS comeback. The California team was down 10 runs in the bottom of the last inning and actually tied it up at 15 with two outs. The local ABC affiliate in Buffalo then cut out and started the pregame show for a Bills preseason game.
It isn't that I hate football, yet. I just hate how much people love football.
If you start in the fourth inning, the Twins won 3-0. That should count as two-thirds of a win. But, I guess we'll just have to settle for 87-75. That should still give us a shot at the playoffs, right?
This was supposed to go in the game log. Whoops.
Nobody was in the game log, so this seems appropriate.
Is there a way to see a W-L-D on all the individual innings over a season? Yesterday the Twins and Texans both won 3 innings each, and tied 2 ( then the bottom of the 9th wasn't played). I wonder then if there's any connection between innings won and games won.
I heard once that, more often than not, the winning team scores more runs in one inning that the losing team scores in the entire game. I've never checked to see if it's true, though.
