        1. You underestimate how quickly Scherzer's gonna mow down the Gints tonight.

Years ago, when I was in Alaska for my Sister's wedding, I slept in a bit on Sunday. Twins were playing in Toronto, Roy Halladay as the opposing pitcher. I woke up, turned on ESPN to check the score, and the game was already over.

          1. I don't remember Joe Mays pitching well for the Twins that year.
In his first ten starts, he was 3-2, but with a 3.56 ERA, and a batting line against him of .260/.301/.440
            Mitigating: K/9 of 3.15, HR/9 of 1.37

But, from that point on, 17 starts and four relief appearances, he was 3-8, with a 7.23 ERA and batting line against of .355/.396/.553. His K/9 was actually better at 3.57, and his HR/9 not much worse at 1.32. Crazy, is isolate Patience against was the exact was .041 in both sections of the season.

  1. Dang, Chelsea dominates for 30 minutes and gets it 2-2 and then a red card. I'm guessing Blues will play for the draw now.

  2. I love how the NFL/tv networks continues to give the Dallas Cowboys many national games (this afternoons Giants/Cowboys game is shown in 98% of the TV markets). They havent been relevant on the field since Troy Aikman was at quarterback.

      1. And here I thought this was the national game because Eli Manning and NYC team vs Division Rival.

    1. geeze, I walk away from this game and the Cowboys show life.

as I said on Twitter, I hope this game leading helps the ratings of the World Series game

        1. Ugh, seriously, the NFL has to be the least exciting sport in this frickin country. All I want to do is watch the end to make sure Witten doesn't catch a TD, causing me to lose in fantasy, and its taking forever.

          1. I would say the last minutes of basketball games get excruciatingly long and boring with timeouts and fouling.

    1. Also good news for those that have cable:

"It will not be unlike the Olympics where you saw programming on CNBC, Bravo, USA or MSNBC," Lazarus said. "We are working to make it a consistent schedule so fans know exactly where to find games. But the Premier League fan will be able to get to every game live."

      1. the article mentioned Arlo White will probably do announcing. I wonder if NBC will try to poach Ian Darke from ESPN, since they really dont have any soccer left (occasional MLS game, and World Cup for one more go around)
