Game summary:  Each team scored two in the first, one in the second, and one in the third.  Phoenix got single runs in the sixth and seventh to break the 4-4 tie.

Peoria:  Cody Asche (Philadelphia) was 2-for-4 with a double, scoring once and driving in one.  Tyler Knigge (Philadelphia) worked two perfect innings

Phoenix:  Josh Prince (Milwaukee) was 2-for-3 with a triple and a walk, scoring twice.  Nick Ahmed (Atlanta) was 2-for-3 with a walk, scoring twice and driving in one.

SURPRISE 4, SCOTTSDALE 3 IN SURPRISE

Game summary:  An RBI single by Mike O’Neill snapped a 3-3 tie in the eighth.  Scottsdale had scored twice in the seventh to tie the score at three.

Scottsdale:  David Adams (Yankees) was 2-for-4 with a double.  Joe Panik (San Francisco) was 2-for-4 and scored once.

Surprise:  Kevin Siegrist (St. Louis) struck out eight in four innings, giving up one run on four hits and a walk.  Kellin Deglan (Texas) walked and hit a two-run homer.

Game summary:  Salt River led 2-1 after four and 6-4 after seven before scoring single runs in the eighth and ninth.
