His team lost, but it sure wasn't Eddie Rosario's fault.

CAGUAS 15, MAYAGUEZ 9 IN MAYAGUEZ

TwinsKennys Vargas (Mayaguez) was used as a pinch-hitter and was 0-for-1.  Eddie Rosario (Mayaguez) was 3-for-5 with two home runs, scoring three times and driving in four.  Daniel Ortiz (Mayaguez) was 2-for-5 with a double and an RBI.

Game summary:  Trailing 8-4, Caguas scored ten runs in the seventh.  Caguas got only one extra-base hit in the inning, a double, but had six singles, three walks, a hit batsman, and an error.

Caguas:  Rey Navarro was 4-for-6 with a double, scoring three times and driving in four.  Jorge Padilla was 3-for-4 and scored three times.

Mayaguez:  Angel Sanchez was 3-for-4 with a double and a walk, scoring once and driving in one.  Roberto Perez was 3-for-4 with a walk and an RBI.

CAROLINA 2, PONCE 1 IN PONCE (10 INNINGS)

TwinsAngel Morales (Carolina) was 0-for-4 and struck out all four times.

Game summary:  Enrique Hernandez (Houston) doubled in the go-ahead run.  Ponce got the tying run to second with one out.

Carolina:  Scott Kazmir struck out seven in six innings, giving up one run on six hits and a walk.  Hernandez was 3-for-4 with two doubles and scored once.

Ponce:  Giancarlo Alvarado struck out six in five innings, allowing an unearned run on three hits and two walks.  Robinson Cancel was 3-for-4 with two doubles and scored once.

MANATI 1, SANTURCE 0 IN SANTURCE

Game summary:  The game’s lone run scored on a sacrifice fly in the first inning.

Manati:  Josh Romanski pitched a complete game, giving up three hits and three walks while striking out seven.  Ruben Gotay was 0-for-1 with three walks.

Santurce:  Shoki Kasahara struck out six in five innings, allowing one run on three hits and three walks.  Fehlandt Lentini tripled and walked.
