CANBERRA 5, MELBOURNE 0 IN MELBOURNE

TwinsJoshua Hendricks (Melbourne) was 1-for-4,  Sam Gibbons (Melbourne) surrendered four runs on six hits and four walks with two strikeouts in 3.1 innings.

Game summary:  Canberra scored two runs in each of the first two innings.

Canberra:  John Holdzkom struck out six in seven innings, giving up three htis and five walks.  Kohei Shibata was 2-for-2 with three walks, scoring once and driving in one.

Melbourne:  Andrew Mann allowed one run on five hits and a walk while striking out five in 4.2 innings of relief.

ADELAIDE 6, BRISBANE 1 IN BRISBANE

TwinsLogan Wade (Brisbane) was 2-for-4 with an RBI. 

Game summary:  Adelaide led 2-1 after four.  It stayed that way until Adelaide got one in the eighth and three in the ninth.

Adelaide:  Dushan Ruzic struck out five in six innings, giving up one run on four hits and four walks.  Ben Lodge was 3-for-4 with a double, scoring twice and driving in one.

Brisbane:  Cody Clark was 3-for-4 and scored once.  Hirotoshi Onaka (Texas) was 2-for-4.

PERTH 10, SYDNEY 9 IN PERTH

TwinsJaDamion Williams (Sydney) was 0-for-4 with a walk and scored once.  Tyler Herr (Sydney) surrendered five runs (three earned) on three hits and a walk in just one-third of an inning.

Game summary:  Sydney had leads of 7-3 and 8-4 before Perth scored six runs in the seventh.  Sydney got the tying run to third with one out in the ninth.

Sydney:  James Robbins (Detroit) was 4-for-5 with a double and a home run and scored three times.  Mitch Dening (Boston) was 3-for-5 with a double, scoring twice and driving in two.

Perth:  Greg Van Sickler allowed one run on one hit and no walks while striking out three in four innings of relief.  Allan de San Miguel (Baltimore) was 3-for-5 with two doubles and scored twice.
