We're alive! Well, unless we're not, in which case there won't be anyone around to make fun of me for gloating.

mini-caucus!
looks like the specifics are semi-decided. the lowbrow @ 8PMish tonight. doooooo it.
Last night's nano-caucus went quite well. Many Hop Dishes were drank and wings eaten.
Those Hop Dishes were tasty - good times.
I learned when I got back to my mom's basementthat three tall ones (at 7.5%) may not have been the greatest idea, but I was happy to prolong the company.
Heh...I wanted another, but knew that a third would have taken the keys away. I'm excited to do it again - Madison next time!
Sounds good. I know a place or two.
Sweet. In the meantime, I'll have to dust the cobwebs off of my bowling game and visit this place* so I can come prepared.
*The "How It's Made" video in that link is really cool.
Finally got my family's plans: we're meeting at a house in South Minneapolis at 6pm. Thus, I should be there 8ish with no problems. I believe Sheenie is planning on coming, too.
No promises, but I might be able to show up there sometime around 9ish.
Me too...I hope!
Here and waiting for the rest to show up. I grabbed a spot at the bar for now.
Late departure (right now). Someone (free, CanOCorn) text me if this is dead.
Spoons, I think you're incorrectly pointing the blame on the Mayans, and not instead telling the Mayan calendar mis-interpreters to suck it. After all, the Mayans never said the world was going to end.
When we were down in Mexico this spring, we visited the Tulum ruins, and our tour guide was constantly beset by questions about the "end of the world", he pointed out that no one down there put any stock in the misinterpretations in any way. They seemed to appreciate the extra tourist revenue, but were amused that anyone took any of it seriously.
Speaking of, I hadn't actually met anyone who took it seriously. Did those people exist?
It's easier to rag on people who can't defend themselves, though.
for all you music fans. The Boy was somewhere in the back.

having Pitbull in your commercial is not going to make me buy your product *looking at you Bud Light*
Having Bud Light as your product isn't gonna help either.
well, there is that.
Finally got around to picking up a wider of the Anchor Christmas ale. Um, yea. Really, really good this year. Very light touch on the spice. Some clove, some chocolate, some luscious dark malts. Not much for hops, but a bit of pleasantly bitter on the finish.
After meeting up with cheaptoy last night and discussing beers, I went home and tried the Leinenkugel's Snowdrift Vanilla Porter. Considering the source, this is a pretty good beer: rich, malty caramel with hints of chocolate. Also broke open my buddy's Christmas present: a bottle of Old Friend from the new(er) Minneapolis brewer Indeed. I don't have a bad thing to say about it - well done.
If you like the Leinie's Vanilla Porter, try Breckenridge's. Better.
I'm gonna go with the one fermenting in my basement.
Dont you mean your mother's basement?
Ryan Freel dead of apparent suicide. Guy had multiple concussions and an imaginary friend (not sure how serious that was, though). Crap crap crap.
