Twins players contribute to a come-from-behind victory for Mayaguez.

MAYAGUEZ 3, CAGUAS 2 IN CAGUAS

Twins:  Daniel Ortiz (Mayaguez) was 1-for-3 and scored once.  Eddie Rosario (Mayaguez) was 1-for-4 with a run and an RBI.  Kennys Vargas (Mayaguez) was 1-for-2 with a walk.

Game summary:  Caguas scored in each of the first two innings and still led 2-0 after eight.  Mayaguez scored all three runs in the ninth, with a Danny Gonzalez double driving in the tying and winning runs.

Mayaguez:  Matt DeSalvo pitched four shutout innings, giving up three hits and two walks.

Caguas:  Michael Nix struck out nine in six shutout innings, allowing two hits and a walk.  Henry Ramos (Boston) was 2-for-4.

CAROLINA 7, SANTURCE 6 IN SANTURCE

Game summary:  Santurce led 4-0 after five, but Carolina scored six in the sixth and went on to win.

Carolina:  Pedro Valdes was 3-for-5 with a home run and two RBIs.  Felipe Lopez was 3-for-5.

Santurce:  Luis Figueroa was 4-for-4 with a double and scored twice.  Yadiel Rivera (Milwaukee) was 3-for-5 with a double and scored once.
