Game summary: Obregon took a 3-1 lead in the third, led 6-2 after five, and scored four in the eighth to put it away.

Culiacan: Karim Garcia was 3-for-4 with a home run and two RBIs. Daniel Rodriguez (Atlanta) gave up one run on four hits and no walks in 3.1 innings.

Obregon: Doug Clark was 4-for-5 with a double and a home run, scoring twice and driving in four. Jesse Gutierrez was 2-for-5 with two home runs and three RBIs.

MEXICALI 5, GUASAVE 4 IN MEXICALI

Game summary: Guasave scored all four runs in the second to take a 4-0 lead. Mexicali got one in the bottom of the second, then scored once in each of innings six through nine to win. Jorge Guzman delivered an RBI single with one out in the ninth.
