Twins:  Deolis Guerra (Magallanes) pitched two perfect innings with one strikeout.

Game summary:  Magallanes scored two in the second and led the rest of the way, but never by much.  Lara scored two in the eighth to cut the lead to 6-5 and had the tying run on base with two out, but their last four batters were retired.

Magallanes:  Eliezer Alfonzo (Dodgers) was 2-for-5 and scored twice.  Hector Gimenez (White SoX) was 2-for-5 with a home run.

Lara:  Yangervis Solarte (Texas) was 4-for-5, scoring once and driving in two.  Cesar Izturis (Cincinnati) was 3-for-4 with a double, scoring twice and driving in one.

The teams are tied at two games apiece in the best-of-seven series.
