When Sheenie and I went and saw the local professional wrestling guys at First Ave back in January (ridiculously fun, btw), one of the heels was decked out of Zubaz (hat, pants, shorts, bandana, tanktop, and shirt). His name, btw, was Six Percent Bodyfat Rob James and he was fantastic.
There are some great names in the indies. That's a keeper.
A lot of names immediately jumped to my head, and nearly all of them were on that list. There were a few that really didn't belong - I have no idea why they think "Shelton Benjamin" is such a bad name - but otherwise it's a pretty solid list.
Apropos, Paul Bearer has died.
Snap! I met him once. Real affable gent. He...didn't have the body of someone who was long for this world.
This article is political, though not necessarily "partisan" in the sense that our forbidden zone restriction seeks to avoid. Even so, it may be too far over the line to discuss here...I'm not sure.
I am sure that it made me more angry with the status quo than just about anything I've read or seen in quite awhile. I read it just after reading this one and together, they paint a pretty dismal picture of how things are really done in this country. I'm actually going to write a letter to my members of Congress expressing my dissatisfaction. I haven't done that in 3+ years.
/gets off his soap box/
SI has published a list of the 50 most powerful people in sports. At #3 is the president of the 4ltr. Their subscription and ad revenue equals that of the NFL's revenue. I'm not sure why, but I am very surprised by that.
Nitpick: he's #4.
I'm not sure if I'm surprised or not. I knew ESPN makes a lot of money from subscription fees (SI says $6 billion; that's a billion shy of MLB's), but wasn't aware of how much.
Adding a link to the list. Selig is lower than I expected at #5; I was thinking second or third after the obvious #1. A plus is his photo is him at Target Field announcing it hosting the 2014 All-Star Game.
Selig pictured with his henchmen Roy Smalley and Tony Oliva.
Nice plug for the 2014 All-Star Game, though.
Soundset 2013 lineup announced and the headliner is ... Snoop! Wow, you can't any bigger than that in hip-hop. Unfortunately, Mac Miller is making a return appearance.
Oh boy, A$AP Ferg! That dude has dropped close to the worst verse I've ever heard. Terrible.
Jared Burton continuing to have a shaky Spring
I got an iPad on the cheap from my company's auction site (and no, I can't do this for anyone else...). I picked it up so I could head to the app store and use what I learn to help create my app, but oh man, you guys, I'm in love with this thing. And you probably know that when I like something in the area of time-wasting entertainment, in completely owns my soul.
It's a good thing Spookymilk Survivor All-Stars is almost over.
I have an iPhone, a MacBook Air, and a pretty powerful desktop PC. I still want to buy a damn iPad. Sigh.
A-Rod, Granderson and Cano all suspended for fifty games?!
twitter account was hacked. Never mind.
Spooky got RickRoidRolled?!
tee hee
I did! todahshy was the culprit. I spoke here as soon as he told me, and soon enough, he was all, "Yeah, about that..."
Too bad, that would be fun.
I'm surprised no one else has mentioned here yet today: RIP Alvin Lee.

Did the Gofers seriously just lose to Nebraska? C'mon, Tubby. That is embarrassing.
No worse than losing to Villanova.
Um, yes, yes it is.
Touche.
Villanova is 47th in Ken Pomeroy's rankings system (between Stanford and Colorado). Nebraska is 130th (between Niagara and Long Beach State).
Nebraska is behind GW! Would you rather lose to Villanova or GW (well, we know which way JT2 would prefer which is why he forces it on his son)?
I know. I was just disappointed... that #1 seed was looming.
Not to go all forbidden zoney, but there is a legitimate filibuster going on right now, something which almost never happens any more. I'd suggest all citizens educate themselves on the issue being challenged.
It's a sad day when an administration can be so blatantly willing to ignore the Constitution and yet hardly a voice is raised in protest.
..."go crazy"?
Don't mind if I do!
I own one season of The Simpsons. That's the Halloween episode for that season. Soooo much joy.
So, you've got the Shinning!
dont use that 'shin' of your between four and five. THATS WILLIES TIME!!
I never doubted for a second that you guys would back me up and play this thing out.
To follow up on the Addias/Zubas mention last week, there's more news. Like mildew, ragweed and Rubik’s Cube, Zubaz refuse to die.

I love wrestling names! When I was trying to come up with a character name for my PwtP wrestling story, I spent way too much time going through this list of Pro Wrestling's 50 Worst/Stupidest Ring Names of All Time.
