I shaved my head about a week ago. I had no idea how strong the reactions would be, both positive and negative. I suppose it's nice to know that people care.

I'm in Sioux Falls until Wednesday for three days of pastors' meetings. 1) Yes, that's every bit as exciting as it sounds; and 2) the way the forecast sounds, I may be here until Thursday or Friday.
If April showers bring May flowers, and Mayflowers bring pilgrims, what do April snowstorms bring?
Cussing.
Which we don't condone.
Nor even accept.
I can probably get through the temporary return of winter with a minimum of grumbling, but at this point my winter jacket only barely zips over my growing belly, so that may be a bit of an issue...
Um... congrats?
I'll assume congrats.
I am also going to assume congrats. The WGOM are a productive bunch!
It's pretty impressive that she was only here for a couple of weeks before it happened. Nicely done, Beau.
I don't sneak off with Citizens, just their spouses
see, Citizens have a Code.
Actually, I've been around almost two months. But . . . what? Beau's got something going on with my husband?
Months? Wow. In that case, yes, without question.
so what's the time frame for poco de pimienta?
I believe poco de pimienta will be making his appearance late Juneish. Feel free to come up with equally great nicknames for the husband and the toddler, by the way!
I thought I was maybe the only one that missed any discussion on this, but I see not. Anyhow- congratulations!
dido to the required degree on the congrats, Pepper!
As Pepper started hanging around while I was on hiatus and I'm not a CdL regular, I just now realized she's a she. And all this time I've been eschewing pants. Apologies (and congrats)
Thank you! Given the amount of time my toddler son spent pants-less during potty training last summer, I'm not sure you really need to make the effort on my behalf. But perhaps there is a case to be made for reviving BKaC. (Actually, I would sort of like to see one for everyone here.)
Time for me to fess up: I never did a BKaC.
That was partially my bad, as sean mentioned it, but I was taking a break and I never really got back to him on that. We really should reboot the whole thing, perhaps along with a podcast portion?
I've called out a couple of times for people to be interviewed, and nobody has answered the call any of the times.
So, I'll do it again: I'm available all day, people. Well, I actually have a different podcast to do tonight, but that's not for five hours.
Not today, but one of these times we're both around...
Send me an e-mail and we'll see if we can work out a time.
Done
There's something in the basement water - congratulations!
I'm in Omaha until tomorrow, and get home via Chicago Midway; may be just as entertaining
I walked into spoons's company's Richfield store on Saturday for the first time in a couple of years. It might as well have been an entirely different company based on its appearance in contrast to my last visit. Very disorienting (but sleek!) and, for someone like me who had not visited in a long time, confusing to navigate.
As many times as I've been to corporate, I've never been in that store, which is the closest one to corporate. I'm not sure why.
Right, I know they closed it for three months last year to remodel to make it the "BB of the future." This was my first visit since (to get that microphone), and I wandered in circles for awhile as many helpers in various uniforms (I would say only one-third of the employees were actually wearing blue), were helping other customers.
well, unless they open a closer store or move corporate....
I haven't stopped chuckling at this yet.
Twins batters lead the AL in walks and are tied for first in hbps. That's a lot of free passes.
I am very, very pro this trend. With the exception of this last game, Twins batters seem to be working the count better than I can remember any other Twins team in recent years.
Shift in organizational strategy? New hitting coach?
acquiring hitters that are more patient?
ditching old hitters that are less patient?
I'd like to see a bit more hitting as well, and fewer CS, but hey - baby steps
The new guys aren't any good at Uno.
Small sample size. 😛
Inconceivable!
Yeah, I was watching it live.
my vague memories say I was watching it live (on tv) as well. But recovered memories are suspect.
Long story, but my brother Larry and I watched it live in the Fort Wayne, Indiana airport bar with Bob Griese sitting at the table next to us. We both got Griese's autograph, too.
I, for one, wouldn't mind having that short story made longer.
I'm out in the Capitol City today. It is snowing. Oy vey.
Annette Funicello and Margaret Thatcher, no longer with us.
Goodbye, Iron Lady. Ms. Funicello, that's some unfortunate timing.
Your 2013 WGOM MLB Prediction Spreadsheet.
Teams named by nobody to make the playoffs: Boston, Cleveland, Philadelphia, Milwaukee. Granted, some of the teams that got in were named as jokes.
At first I was upset, but then I checked, and no one picked the Yankees either.
Several people have them taking the Wild Card.
Someone did for wildcard
Boooooooo
I love the NL ROY going to someone from the Astros
The Dread Pirates' WS prediction is just the matchup. I see that's what he wrote originally, so I think we should force him to make a decision.
Yu wins Game 7 because Strasberg is unavailable.
BTW, give me Tex-LA and Was-Atlanta for the LCS's.
I see my Twins-related predictions were taken seriously.
Sorry, I had no place for the open-ended joaks. I can maybe put a link on the spreadsheet, though.
Thanks.
Were there too few MOY nominees for that the be worthwhile?
oh, man, sean, that is an awesome idea. i like it. a lot.
Yes. Very cool.
??
Check the video area.
Oh hey, there it is. Yeah, good call, sean.
I thought you might like it.
This article basically sums up my Facebook feed from the past month.
ManCity just scored to go up 1-0 @ ManUtd. Just over 50 minutes gone.
All level at 1-1. That only took United about 6 minutes to equalize.
One more Ebert remembrance.
Interesting.
Umpires were allowed to bet? I can see a small issue with that, actually. It's subtle, but it's there.
worked well enough for the NBA.
I'm totally excited to send my next kid to Reid Primary and Middle School in Springfield OH.
Umm, ok. Boy's hair that goes below the collar or covers the ears is "disruptive" by definition. And those kindergartners with full beards!
Also, do they hate Joe Mauer?
Is this another announcement?
err, no. At least it had better not be!
So why are you having trouble zipping your jacket?
I'm just fat.
I switched to Cin/StL because it was 4-4 in the ninth. Now 13-4 Cincinnati. The home crowd is not amused.
And one of my fantasy pitchers was responsible for 7 of those runs. A WHIP of 18.00 is actually impressive, in a bad, bad way.
Good thing the Twins aren't returning home until Friday.
Yikes! If they were in town, they could've switched to playing yukigassen, I suppose.
Spike edging Albrecht!
Spike effing Albrecht and Droid effing Droid.
Not that it matters but Kevin Love is out for the season as a result of knee surgery.
I can't believe I am rooting for Michigan. But SPIKE ALBRECHT!
SPIIIIIKE!
Luke is strong with the Force.
what a great half of basketball
