Last night the girls had their school program. It really doesn't feel like more than a few weeks since the last one.

huh. I hadn't even realized that the Buggles dude replaced Jon Anderson for a while.
Buggles dudeS. Geoff Downes on keys as well
yea, but he didn't replace Jon Anderson. 😉
Sure, FTLT found a Buxton tool shop, but ND has a whole town named after him. They have a website!
You will find this wonderful city conveniently located 55 miles north of Fargo, ND and 20 miles south of Grand Forks, ND on Interstate 29.
Buxton is served by Grand Forks-Traill Water that received the distinction of being among the top five water systems in the Nation with the best tasting water!
Give it a try when you stop by!
As of the census[2] of 2000, there were 17 people.... In the city the population was spread out .... The median age was 72 years.
I love how the wikipedia piece talks about rates per 100 people in a community of 17. Of course, this was from the 2000 census. Things may have changed!!!
Anyone else amused/outraged that the mechanism to fund the Taj MaZygi is um, falling short?
yesterday, I got to listen to the locals breathlessly celebrate Sacramento's victory in the NBA wars. Apparently, "the city of Sacramento" has purchased the Kings. Huh. I thought it was some rich dudes.
I look forward to the new taxes that KJ will have to push through to finance a new arena in the downtown(ish) area. Particularly since I do not live in Sacramento County.
But mostly I am bummed that the NBA will continue to black out Warriors games on my cable system.
Also, the sketches are very, very ugly. Like the tip of a humongous amethyst, erupting from under downtown Mpls.
I haven't seen in the sketches how it's supposed to open. It's the type of retractable-roof abomination* that made me so happy that no roof funding came through for Target Field.
*I haven't yet seen one that I think looks good. They're not open-air stadiums, they're roofed stadiums with sunroofs.
Im no architect or city planner or any of that, but what makes Target FGield great is that the building itself (Kasota stone!) blends into the city, whereas the drawing for the Vikings monstrosity the building stick out of the skyline like a dandelion in a bouquet of roses
Like a dandelion in a bouquet of roses.
Nice.
Only if the Dandelion was big and purple and ugly.
So like a wilted Iris?
remember the Paton Oswalt Parks and Rec episode? Someone animated his fillibuster
It's going to take a long, long time, but it'll eventually happen.
Mauer back in the lineup at DH today.
So is the mini-caucus happening at Low Brow? How long do people think they'll hang there?
Melo denied.
while various player and referee cardboard cutouts dot the floor
oooh. Hadn;t noticed that before. remarkable how those guys got such good standing-room-only spots to watch the game.

The Twins are piecing together a "promising future," and Miguel Sano, who is hitting .362/.457/.681 for Class A+ Fort Myers, is a key part of that, argues ESPN's Buster Olney writes (Insider-only). Byron Buxton, the No. 2 overall pick in last year's draft, has also played brilliantly in the minors, hitting .331/.436/.574 for Class A Cedar Rapids. Minor-league pitchers Kyle Gibson and D.J. Baxendale have performed well, too. Olney cites Peter Gammons' comparison of the Twins to the 2007-2008 Texas Rangers, who were about to emerge as an AL powerhouse.

Nothing like good tasting water!
That just pulls him even with Chris Parmelee.
Don't forget former Twin Jack Morris.
Having a town in SD ain't no big deal, Padre.
Yeah, whatever
Where revenge plots come to life!
How about one in Iowa?
wait, now you're getting personal
I don't have a city named after me, but there is one that likes me
Baloney!
How about Georgia, then. At least I beat out "Puddleville".
You have a "census designated area".

Here's a road.
Here's your road.
Spookymilk Road while I'm at it.
Freealonzo road, but that's pushing it.
I VOW TO DRIVE IT SOMEDAY
I've been over the Buxton Bridge many times as a kid when driving to my grandparents' home in GF.
That makes this route the Byron-Buxton road, eh?
Scott-Diamond
Vance-Worley (quite a haul)
Glen-Perkins
Kyle-Gibson

A change is gonna come. Football is cooked.
I wouldn't bet on that.
