Last night the Milkmaid went to the first movie together (just the two of us) since...well, put it this way: we named our elder daughter after a character from the last one.

Aquinas is only almost-4, but I'm on a similar trajectory.
I recently discovered that movies come in color!
Color is the new black.
another FOX 'national' game today

although with severe weather again in the forecast, who knows how much of the game will be televised
After another great wrestling show at First Avenue last night, Sheenie and I went to Tilia for a late dinner. Power was completely out on Hennepin Avenue from Franklin to 36th except 29th to Lake. Weird that one specific block would be on a different grid. Then, driving around the southeast corner of Lake Calhoun, there were three big trees completely uprooted and blocking the parkway. Guess we missed an incredible storm while at the show.
The same thing was going on in stillwater, too. One side of the street was lit up with the other totally dark. It was creepy.
Okay, here is a neat trivia question one of the card collector bloggers posted: Which ballplayer hit the most HR in his final season? Don't peek!
My first guess was the same as your first guess.
Good wording. If it was "in his last season" instead of "in his final season" I would have said Miguel Cabrera, just to be an ass.
Just a heads up: The plan is that Minor Details will appear tomorrow, but then will miss a couple of days as I go to visit my parents in a land without internet. The good Lord willing and the creek don't rise, the feature should return Wednesday.
land without internet
How do they google then, with sticks and twine?
You win.
I just walked the dog. The Minnehaha Creek has definitely risen. It would be perfect for tubing today.
I think Chicago has figured out how to score on Tukka Rask. Put three guys in front of the net and jam in rebounds.
This bodes well for Chicago, methinks.
Just got my third flash flood warning on my iPhone this week. One in SBGville, one at the world headquarters, and now one in Winona.
I got one of those a week ago in H'town. I then got in my car to drive to get something, and ended up driving in really deep water in several spots. I don't recall ever seeing rain fall as hard as that.
