welp, looks like the Twins will end the day still in 4th place
Like i kept telling my teammates during the curling season, you can't come back from impossible odds unless you get into impossible odds.
The wall seems to be moving closer and closer.
Okay, guys, let's get a couple runs and get back into this.
Yeah, like that!
Clete?
CLETE!!!!!
Trader Clete?!
Joe Mauer needs a hug
Okay, guys, let's get a couple runs and get back even.
Closer!
Okay, now NO GIVEBACK RUNS, guys!
Sounds like the Twins aren't having a whole lot of luck this inning.
bloop bloop bloop and more runs are being scored :/
Not to say that the Royals haven't hit some balls well today, but geez...
remember when Vance Worley was the Opening Day starter for the Twins? memories.
I read something this morning to the effect that Worley has been dealing of late in Rochester. Unfortunately, that is very much not true. He's had 3 good starts, two mediocre ones and two awful ones.
We're in Collins' head now. This is gonna be our--wait for it--8 RUN INNING!!!
defensive battle. Did we miss the kick, or go for the 2-pt conversion?
Neither. It was 3 safties.
Twins baseball.
more like TWINS BASEBALL!!!
LOL
Tie game!
Consuela!
OH BOOOO automatic double.
Yeah, that was scoring 2 for sure.
WILLHAM!
Looks like I finished mowing at just about the right time!
Biscuit ties 'er up!
Woohoo for comebacks.
We really need for the Royals to have a zero-run inning.
Maybe in a different era that would have happened.
TIBN Dictionary:
(Dazzle) Provii will be back to take you the rest of the way.
(Translation) I'll be in the lounge ripping pulltabs and Manhattans.
Livin the dream.
cc to NBB: note the change to the bruschetta recipe elsewhere. I forgot to mention the basil.
Good to know. I got the other ingredients earlier, and thankfully one of my garden squares in the back is overflowing with fresh basil.
Did you put EVOO on the sourdough bread prior to grilling, or afterwards?
After is traditional. I did after.
Speaking of overflowing plants, anyone with gardening experience know if lettuce can spread really? While mowing today, i ran over something with a light green color that looked like the bib lettuce i had planted last year, 4 next to where i had planted it. It was weird.
Prolly weeds. My yard is scarily different in color from the Project two years ago. Ethnic cleansing in order.
Weeds i got plenty of, but I've never seen any that look like this before. Might have to try a salad to confirm.
If only Euell Gibbons were here. Stalking the Erstwhile Bib Lettuce.
Ever eat a yard? Some parts are edible.
*with a side of Grape Nuts.
If you have not sprayed with poisons, might try tasting. Foraging is a thing these days.
Heh, if i had sprayed, then i was strongly mislead by the poison manufacturer.
You were just applying evolutionary pressure on the weeds.
Indeed. Unfortunately, the crab grass responded better to that pressure than the grass i want.
who the heck is David Lough?
I was wondering this too.
Unfortunately, it looks like our offense can't score runs as fast as our pitching/defense can give them up.
On the plus side, we get to bat twice as many times as they do.
crax. Giveback runs suck.
Did Mountie just almost hit a HR on a broken bat?!
Just seeing it up for an Arcia walk-off is all.
3 outs to get 3 runs - I say bring in the Professionals.
Plouffe brings The Dream back to The Fans!!!!!!101!00!111!
Arcia - not a Professional.
Pek! could have done that.
I fully expect the Wolves to not match with Pek! Instead they will rely on Muhammed at the 5.
JIHAD!!!
Kill Dozier. We got 'em right where we want 'em.
No direwolves. We need to get dire wolves.
those last couple of givebacks...grumble
Well, the Twins fought hard all afternoon and just fell a little bit short. Now, though, we get to take on the weaklings of the American League East. So, we'll just have to settle for 120-42!
Bremer after Arcia fell down when running : 'Arcia fell on his arse'
We neither condone nor accept profanity.
Heh, good callback.
Dodgers DFA Guerrier.
my guess is that Baltimore is going to sign him.
I miss the mayor.
Parmelee missing the cutoff man twice now.

So he needs consistency?
Back in it again!
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO CAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANADA!
MORNEAU HR ALERT!

Leathah! Dyson sucked up like lint.
PLOOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFE!
PLOUFFE
PLOUFFE-DA
Prolly a rally killer, however.
POOF!
Not a bad way to start the inning.
And that was a shitty way to end it.
