Minor Details: Games of 7/2

Filling in for the Padre in his time of need. (I hope he sees this before he does one himself). Two-out rallies! Dramatic rallies in the GCL!

SYRACUSE 5, ROCHESTER 2 IN ROCHESTER (GAME 1, SCHEDULED 7 INNINGS)

Batting stars: Ray Olmedo was 2-for-3 with a run scored; Antoan Richardson had a double and an RBI.

Pitching star: Cole DeVries allowed three runs on 8 hits and 2 walks with three strikeouts in 5 2/3 innings to lower his ERA to 8.16 (Yikes!).

Key inning: The fifth. In the top of the inning, Jeff Kobernus stole third base with one out and then scored on a sacrifice fly by Chris Marrero to make it 3-1. In the bottom of the inning, two singles and a sacrifice bunt by Richardson (why?) set up a sac fly by Doug Bernier, but Jeff Clement grounded out to strand the tying run at second base and the Wings would not threaten again.
