According to the (Detroit) radio guys, the pitch report from last night's game showed Cowboy Joe had 7 pitches that were balls that he called strikes, and 5 of those were thrown by Boston pitchers.
a few Boston fans chanting 'ster-roids' ster-roids' when Jhonny Peralta comes to the plate.
Alex Avila's pregame interview was special; guy sounds like Gardy on Prozac.
Napoli is one of those Sawks players that look like their waistline is 6" lower than it should be. The alternative is Fielder's mu-mu, I guess.

December 8, 2009: Traded as part of a 3-team trade by the Arizona Diamondbacks with Daniel Schlereth to the Detroit Tigers. The Detroit Tigers sent Curtis Granderson to the New York Yankees. The Detroit Tigers sent Edwin Jackson to the Arizona Diamondbacks. The New York Yankees sent Phil Coke and Austin Jackson to the Detroit Tigers. The New York Yankees sent Ian Kennedy to the Arizona Diamondbacks.
that trade came up aces for the Tigers.
All three teams got a good return, though the Tigers fared the best.
not a big fan of the guy, but that was a dandy fielding play by Pedroia
the Buck says basically no other player is grittier and a gamer than Pedroia. belch
The Buck never stops.
I will say this, Joe Buck has improved his baseball announcing 'skills' by just sounding interested in the game. I think he would sound a lot better with a guy not Tim McCarver sitting next to him.
And I think McCarver would sound better with a decent play-by-play guy prompting him to make non-vacuous points.
Detroit radio guys again pointing out the Sawks batters' complaining to the ump on pitches that are strikes on FoxTrax.
@JeffPassan: It's been 5 days, and 21 innings, since Tigers pitchers allowed a run. In that span, they've allowed 4 H, 8 BB and K'd 35.
whoa
That's a lot of strikeouts. 15 K/9.
it would take Twins pitchers 21 days to notch 35 strikeouts
I bet their hitters could do it in two games. Three tops.
The Red Sox shouldn't have given up that run.
that might be that farthest a ball has been hit by a Red Sox all series
Boston led the league with 5.27 runs/game, well ahead of the second-place Tigers at 4.91 runs/game. I'm kind of hoping they just don't score again this season.
slight breathing room
Stupid Cabrera plus stupid Fenway combine to make stupid homerun.
Wheels Fielder.
Buchholz has lost it this inning
GOSO
Sawks hit the wall hard
GOSO
This game is over. The Red Sox will need like 3 hits at least to win this thing.
The ten walks should be easy, the three hits are the hard part!
heading to bed; I'm getting up pre-sunrise to try spot Comet ISON with the telescope
It was perfect. As long as he didn't break his neck or anything(which apparently he didn't), it like the Lasorda tumble, will be an iconic fall for years to come.
Nice try ii.
Two former Twins combined to make that an enjoyable play.

ok, the fan with the Koji giant head with moving arms is kind of cool.
Fielder needs to catch that.
Yea.knock it down, at least. That was awful glovework.
Man did Detroit shoot themselves in the foot. This might be an enjoyable series after all.
I think we have different definitions of enjoyable.
Enjoyable to me is Boston seeing their team lose every opportunity they get.
I'd agree if the A's made it through instead of the Tigers.
between that Patriots unbelievable comeback and now the BoSox winning...good night to be in Boston
Did you maybe mean a good night to be from Boston? Because I couldn't imagine a more insufferable city to be in tonight.
Yesterday was the one day this year when I would cheer for the Patriots. WHO DAT?!
