  1. aw I was hoping for a wasted leadoff triple

because I never saw that this year with the Twins.....

            1. They were doing the fake news game, which was about classic jokes coning to real life. Oeter' setup was sonething like "well known jokes, like knock-knock... three guys walk into a bar... kanye west..."

    1. I don't know what you guys are talking about. I've never been known to use hyperbole. Also, Inge was not declared to be HBP on that pitch!

      1. Guess I haven't been paying attention to the important things, I've been too distracted by the beards.

      1. It's some parmesan, garlic and herb microwave stuff that I bought at Walmart after both Target and Walmart failed to sell me a popcorn popper.

  2. maybe it was a good thing Cardinal dude didnt steal a base. That measn PSLCB get a chance to win the game.

        1. I felt like I should be surprised there.
          Should I be surprised?

BoSox manager Pharrell is totally gonna win on that decision because he'll have the right pinch-hitter in the 11th or something and he'll be feted far and wide.

    1. Yah. Boston pretty much conceded that half inning. again, I say, why didn't Matheny bring hom in to start the 8th against the top of the order?

  3. So let me get this straight...

Farrell willingly gave up an out in the top of the ninth inning of a tie game in the World Series to keep his reliever in for ONE MORE OUT?!

    1. Worked for the Yankees, so let's try it again!

  4. If he doesn't put his legs up, I don't think he gets called for obstruction. If he doesn't put his legs up, I think he scores easily.

    1. but I think its still interference if his legs are down because he is impeding the baserunner.

  5. I gotta say as soon as the 3B did that I called out to my Dad, sitting right here "He tripped him! He tripped him!" Glad to see blue get it right on a game-ending decision.

      1. I haven't yet seen a good show of Joyce's signal.

And when some BoSox fans complain, tell them that it gets called as interference 9 times out of 10 in a regular-season game when it's not a deciding run. And the other 1 in ten in Angel Hernandez.

  6. Craig's in pain.
I wonder if he wishes that Joyce would have shouted that interference a bit louder.

    1. The ump can call interference and have the runner still be out. If Craig had dogged it or turned around and ran back to third, the umps don't necessarily have to award him the run (See Miguel Tejada, 2003 ALDS).
