CULIACAN 1, NAVOJOA 0 IN CULIACAN
Navojoa: Rolando Acosta was 3-for-4. Eddie Gamboa (Baltimore) struck out eight in five shutout innings, giving up three hits and five walks.
Culiacan: Maxwell Leon was 2-for-2 with two walks and a run. Andres Meza pitched five innings, allowing four hits and one walk with two strikeouts.
The game: It was scoreless until the bottom of the ninth. Leon led off with a single-and-error. An intentional walk put runners on first and second. A bunt moved the runners up and another intentional walk loaded the bases. A pop up made it two out, but an accidental walk brought in the winning run.
HERMOSILLO 7, LOS MOCHIS 5 IN LOS MOCHIS
Hermosillo: Jesus Loya (Boston) was 3-for-4 with a walk and a double, scoring once. Jesse Gutierrez was 3-for-5 with a run. Yunesky Sanchez was 2-for-5 with a double, driving in two.
Los Mochis: Jake Fox was 2-for-4 with a walk and a home run, his fourth. Brian Burgamy was 2-for-4 with a walk and a double, scoring once. Emmanuel Avila was 2-for-5 with two runs and an RBI.
The game: Los Mochis scored two in the fifth to tie the score at four and got one in the eighth on an RBI single by Roberto Lopez to take a 5-4 lead. In the ninth, a two-run single by Jose Amador put Hermosillo ahead 6-5 and an RBI double by Loya gave them an insurance run. Los Mochis got the tying run on base with none out in the ninth.
OBREGON 7, MEXICALI 4 IN OBREGON
Mexicali: Oscar Robles was 2-for-4 with a double. Xorge Carrillo (Mets) was 2-for-3 with a run. Gil Velazquez (Miami) was 2-for-3 with a run.
Obregon: Said Gutierrez was 4-for-4 with two doubles and a home run, driving in four. Christian Villanueva was 3-for-4 with a double and a home run (his third), scoring three times. David Reyes pitched six innings, allowing two runs on five hits with three strikeouts.
The game: Gutierrez doubled in a run in the fourth to tie the score at two. Villanueva homered in the sixth to make it 3-2 and Gutierrez doubled home another run in the same inning to make it 4-2. A run in the seventh and two more in the eighth brought the score to 7-2. Ben Guez (Detroit) hit a two-run homer in the ninth to bring the final score to 7-4, but Mexicali did not get the tying run up to bat.
GUASAVE 9, MAZATLAN 5 IN MAZATLAN
Guasave: Mark Hamilton was 4-for-5 with a home run (his fourth) scoring three times and driving in three. Zelous Wheeler was 2-for-4 with a run and an RBI. C. J. Fick pitched two shutout innings, giving up no hits and one walk.
Mazatlan: Blake Gailen was 3-for-5 with a run. Henry Mateo was 2-for-4 with a walk and a run.
The game: Mazatlan scored two in the second and two in the third to take a 4-0 lead. Guasave cut that lead to 4-3 after five and scored three in the sixth to take a 6-4 lead. Baltazar Lopez singled in the tying run and the go-ahead run scored on a wild pitch. Hamilton hit a two-run homer in the seventh to make it 8-4 and Guasave was never threatened.
