The Wizards are awful. Probably on purpose because Randy Wittman is still their coach.
The Wolves are in the front end of back to back (home to the Clippers tomorrow) and the beginning of 4 games in 5 days. Lets hope for a blowout early and the D Will plays 20 second half minutes

A little bit of a slow start here.
Threebio!
Kevin Love outlet pass, gets the hockey assist. ha!
LOL on that foul on Beal.
Pek backing down on Gortat, scoop n score. nice.
Pek! getting back into shape has been really great.
Hey, I got the game up just in time to see a Pek! smash!
the Wizards have fallen for the' Kevin Love pump fake 3 'about 5 times this game.
this may be our drinking game tonight.
I'm really glad they do it, but I don't understand why guys still fall for Love's fake like that. It seems to be a testament to how good he is with it, as well as to how dangerous his shot out there is. I love it.
This Kevin Love guy isn't very good. I wonder if O.J. Mayo is available.
I like the Zgoda "LMA!" trolling that CH does. But yeah, glad McHale got the better of that deal.
I feel a little dirty even making that joke. It feels too much like a Mark Prior joke.
The one time I was ever wrong.
wait, what? You wanted to keep J.R. Mayo?
On draft night I was rather peeved.
I'm glad you were able to turn it into both an admission of fault and a brag.
I'm working it.
Shved sighting!
That was a really nice couple of minutes for him there. (loved that pass to Pek!) I really want him to get his had back in it and be good, but I wonder if he's just counting down the minutes until he can get back to a comfort zone in Russia.
Good evening, gentlemen.
Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
Greek! My eternal enemy!
For tonight, I'm willing to let bygones be bygones and we can both focus on our other mortal enemy--Randy Whitman.
Proven winner.
I'll drink to that.
What are you drinking? Is it the blood of the Witt?
Surly Abrasive right now, going to be switching to Whit's blood soon.
Argh, I can't wait to get back into the country and have good beer again. Only thing I've had so far is Tsingtao Hans 9ΒΊ, a tasteless, 3.6% beer. (To be fair, I expected this and there were 500 ml bottles available at no extra charge with the hotel dinner buffet. So I drank two last night.)
Shved block?! twice?!!!
Humm3l
Robbie Hummel is looking like one of the best stories in the league, yes?
I'm loving him. Did Kahn draft him or was that McHale?
It was Kahn. One of his few decent decisions.
I thought about going to this game, but it didn't work out. I still vow to get to a Wizards game sometime this season.
you could probably get tickets for a dollar
For 2 dollars I can sit courtside!
A couple of co-workers are in DC for the week and are in attendance. I need a win here to avoid criticisms.
63 points at the half. Ho hum.
Well, only 29 in the second. Stupid bench unit.
It wasn't the bench. They were pretty good. The starters were lackluster.
Oh, I know, but if I'm going to complain about something one shouldn't complain about, I shouldn't get my facts straight.
That was a quiet 63 point half.
over at the Wild game, Josh Harding continues to play elite level hockey. I would say look for an amazing set of saves on SportsCenter, but you know, they dont cover hockey.
This third quarter is just about the worst quarter they've played all year.
I'm not too worried because they are easily the better team, but the defense has been atrocious. I have no idea what they are trying to do, but they need to stop trying to do it.
Gortat and Nene are good players. But they aren't this good.
well then....
WOLVES BASKETBALL!!!
A few thoughts now that I am now holding children
-Kevin Love is as good at offense as he is bad a defense
-Seriously, he just watched Nene at one point, didn't even pretend to leave his feet
-I feel like once the Wolves get up 10 they start to get a little too cute sometimes.
-JJ is not so bad when he isn't the focal point of your offense
-Does Brewer know he doesn't have to flail his limbs like an octopus when attempting a lay up?
Hasn't Love been pretty good at D this year, though? B-Ref has his Drtg at 97. This sequence seems more like an outlier so far.
I wonder if the Wolves try not to blow teams out too badly to make sure Shabazz doesn't come in.
Shabazz has a sprained ankle. Might be out for the season.
Oh. Well then, there goes that theory.
That's one hell of a sprain.
Whoa, yeah, I didn't see the "out for the season" part in stick's post.
Kind of like Ndudi Ebi's knee tendinitis.
Ahhhh, I'm picking up what you're putting down.
This isn't the first time he has allowed the opposing team to take an easy two. I feel he is worried about getting into foul trouble and sometimes just doesn't feel the risk is worth it. Is he right, who knows? It just looks as bad a a Jan Vesely dunk attempt when he stands there.
Don't get me wrong, I think awfully highly of Love, he is an all-world player.Just, you know, a complainer has gotta complain.
He did look very bad in the third, no doubt. That was a truly awful quarter and I hope never to have to think of it again.
I'm thinking they could lose this game.
::shudder::
I am more worried than I was at the beginning of the run. However, I believe they will lock it down in the end. This is a Randy Wittman coached team, remember.
Corey Brewer went from behind the half line to doing a spin move at the elbow in about .4 seconds.
If I were an NBA player I think, in both style and substance, I would most closely resemble Dante Cunningham.
Ah, who am I kidding, I would be a slower, chubbier, Corey Brewer.
I'd be Michael Beasley.
6 would be Ricky Davis.
Don't forget shorter!
Nah. FTLT is about 6'9.
Really?
One thing is for sure, I own a head band and wear it when playing hoops.
Your gravatar doesn't make you look that tall.
Neither does yours.
not really
JJ Barea drives me crazy.
That last pass was so JJ.
For as much of a spark as he can be, he is so inconsistent that I really can't stand him.
Wolves need a rim defender, on the second unit at least.
we got Gorgui!
Wolves' FG% is dropping like a rock. They're still shooting 45%, but I have trouble believing that.
he was in foul trouble early, but it seems like Rubio has been out of this game for a long time.
I haven't heard anything about an injury, but why else would Rubio be out for this long? Barea isn't playing that well.
This game has not been fun.
Don't worry, I predict a 47 point overtime!
Where the hell is Ricky?
Saving him for the 5th quarter.
He's well rested for this last 6 seconds.
Announcer: "The only reason the foul was called was because Martin went to the floor."
Me: "Yeah, that's usually a pretty good indication it was a foul."
My Wolves feed went away so I had to go to the Wizards feed. There is no doubt the Wolves have a very good team and the Wizards is less good.
Martell Webster needs his Beaker hair back.
If K-Mart is only going to hit one three tonight, that was a good spot for it.
ooof π
OH MY GOD WHY AREN'T WE FOULING???
Yeah, let's wait until their best shooter has the ball to foul. Makes sense.
This has been a very, very bad game. The Wolves should be ashamed of this second half and I hope it never happens again.
Welp, I think that does it. We missed Ricky.
I will be very interested in the explanation of that.
Most disappointing game of the season so far.
If I had gone, the Wolves probably would have won. This one's on me, guys.
that is a bad loss.
Well that's depressing.
the Knicks lost again. not a shock. check out these screengrab of Melo being a ballhog
Sounds like the Wolves will just have to settle for 77-5!
