Twins: Edgar Ibarra (Aragua) pitched 1.1 scoreless innings, giving up one hit and no walks with one strikeout.
Aragua: Guillermo Quiroz (San Francisco) was 2-for-4. Jeremy Hazelbaker was 1-for-3 with a three-run homer. Yorman Bazardo struck out six in five innings, giving up one run on one hit and two walks.
Lara: Joe Thurston was 2-for-3 with a walk and a double, scoring twice. Luis Jimenez was 2-for-4 with a run and two RBIs. Sugar Ray Marimon pitched two perfect innings.
The game: Hazelbaker's three-run homer came in the fourth and gave Aragua a 4-0 lead. Lara got one in the fourth and two in the sixth to cut the lead to 4-3. In the eighth, Jimenez hit an RBI single to tie the score and Luis Valbuena (Cubs) hit an RBI single to put Lara in the lead. Aragua was retired in order in the ninth.

Twins: Deolis Guerra (Magallanes) pitched a scoreless innings, giving up two hits and no walks.
Magallanes: Mario Lisson was 2-for-4 with a home run (his tenth) and three RBIs. Adonis Garcia (Yankees) was 2-for-3 with an RBI. Sergio Perez struck out ten in six shutout innings, giving up two hits and one walk.
Caracas: Hernan Perez (Detroit) was 3-for-5 with a double. J. D. Martinez (Houston) was 2-for-4 with a double and a run. Victor Garate struck out eight in 5.2 innings, allowing two runs on four hits and two walks.
The game: It was scoreless until the sixth, when Lisson hit a two-run homer. Magallanes added two more in the eighth on an RBI single by Lisson and a sacrifice fly by Garcia. Caracas opened the ninth with a double, a single, and two walks, making the score 4-1 and putting the tying run on base with none out. The next two batters fanned, and a ground out ended the game.
