Jonathan's Singleton puts Santurce in the lead for good.

SANTURCE 7, CAROLINA 3 IN CAROLINA

Twins:  Jon Velasquez (Santurce) pitched 1.1 innings, giving up one run on three hits and no walks.

Santurce:  Jonathan Rodriguez (St. Louis) was 2-for-4 with a two-run homer and scored twice.  Jonathan Singleton (Houston) was 2-for-5 with a home run, his sixth.  Angel Morales was 2-for-5 with a run and two RBIs.

Carolina:  Anthony Garcia (St. Louis) was 2-for-3 with a double and a home run (his fourth), scoring twice.  Jesus Feliciano was 4-for-4 with a walk and a double, driving in one.  David Kopp pitched 2.1 scoreless innings, allowing no hits and one walk with one strikeout.

The game:  Feliciano's RBI single in the third and Garcia's homer in the fourth put Carolina ahead 2-0.  Santurce took the lead in the fifth, getting a two-run homer from Rodriguez and scoring the go-ahead run on an error.  Rene Garcia came through with an RBI single in the sixth to tie it.  Singleton homered in the eighth to put Santurce up 4-3 and Morales had a two-run single as part of a three-run ninth to put the game out of reach.
