Do you ever have a night where you want to see so many things on Netflix, you can't settle on one and end up watching nothing after an hour of mulling it over? I did that last night.

Yup. I've also done that with video games.
Yes! Hopefully most the time it's more like 15-30 minutes. Which means at least it's usually a net when as related to time. O_o
Yesterday, I pillaged my Netflix queue, but I know the feeling of just looking at and not watching anything.
Sano out for the season and now Buxton and Meyer sent to minor league camp. GOSO!!!
speaking of the Twins, they are on tv today.
Not a surprise that they were sent down.
Obviously, but I would have liked to have them around for the "real" ST games a little longer.
I raised an eyebrow. Fast gun? wind aided?
They have also had Guerrier throwing 91-92 on surgically repaired arm.
Took in the Arcade Fire show with a couple of friends last night. It was a great, great show. If anyone has even a slight enjoyment of the band, that enjoyment is multiplied by the live setting.
I did notice that a lot of the "excesses" of Reflektor make a lot more sense in the live setting.
I listened to the live stream on the Current. Sounded pretty good.
YDNROKS!
I know its Spring Training and all, but having challenges during these practice games is silly since there like 5 cameras all at odd angles available.
They're calling it a tie? There are no ties in baseball! What do they think this is, the all-star game?
Appears Pitino has his team ready. 23-3 lead
and now for the trademark "cant score anything for 7 minutes" portion of the game.
That was trademarked by the Gophers long before Pitino got there.
I linked to it yesterday, but to avoid using this space for shameless self promotion I will just say that I am getting back in to regular posting at my blog.
And a welcome return it is!
Ran into this on Animation Domination; apparently Axe Cop is a thing:

The storyline is created by a 5-year old
Yep, it is a thing. I watched an episode at some point, I don't remember why.
I might have mentioned that the Gophers blew it when they didn't hire Tim Miles.
I'm not saying he's not great (as a Nebrasketball fan, I love him), but when do you suggest the Gophers should have hired him? It's fine to say in hindsight, sure, they should have hired some nobody from NDSU in 2007 instead of accepting Tubby Smith parachuting in from Kentucky, but would anyone have taken that suggestion seriously in 2007? I guess you're saying they should've fired Tubby a year or two earlier (I don't necessarily disagree with that either) and hired him from CSU since there's no way the B1G would let them hire Miles out of Nebraska once he was there.
This unfortunately is a good point. It really would have only made sense to hire Tim Miles after the 2011-12 season, when Nebraska hired him. That would have been a pretty aggressive move however to buy out Tubby and hire Tim Miles at that time. Tim Miles would have been a great hire for Minnesota and I think he would have come, if offered. But where the Gophers program was at the time with it's coach, the timing just didn't line up. I don't think you can fault the Gopher's, just lament their bad luck.
That's when I said it (2007).
NDSU in the early 2000s was a D-II school in transition to D-I. Miles recruited a group of players and sold them that when they were seniors, they would be playing in the tournament (which they did and they almost beat Kansas as a 13 seed. Pretty damned close). He took a team with five freshmen starters and beat Wisconsin in Madison when they were rated like 12th in the country. The next year, those sophomores won at #8 Marquette. Not only was this club ineligible for post-season play, as a university, NDSU had pretty much zero success in basketball before that. They had some of the worst facilities in the country, and it was a football school. Yep, Tubby was a sexy name, but he was having trouble winning at Kentucky(!) once Pitino's players were gone. Tim Miles would have been a better choice. I said it at the time, even though no one took me seriously.
When the Gophers hired Brew and Tubby, I said that NDSU had better coaches in both basketball and football after those hires and that the Gophers should have gone after both. That was, and is, correct. Since then, though, the Gophers have made two good hires. Actually, three. (Teague.)
the artistes in the Nation may enjoy this one: the photography of Vivian Maier. Making the Bookface rounds.
I went to the GoT exhibit earlier and got to see a bunch of the costumes and props. And I saw my first celebrity of SXSW-Jared Padalecki from "Supernatural"
My brother got his cadet wings and proposed to his girlfriend last night at the Air Force ROTC banquet.
Congrats to him!
Consider the source, but Heyman is reporting the Twins have offered a 3-year deal to Ervin Santana. If this actually gets done, can they give him 57 so I can wear my jersey again?
If the Twins are going to finally surrender a supplemental pick to sign a free agent pitcher, I wish they'd go after someone with better than a 100 ERA- and 18.6% SO over his career.
I remember thinking that his old numbers were worsened through some apparent playing through injury.
But I may be confusing players.
If the Twins sign E. Santana, how much sense does that Pelfrey signing make? Zero?
Eh, everything seems to be saying the Twins made him an offer he's gonna refuse.
Maybe, but still a head scratcher. Usually, they make that move to justify the Pelfrey and Correia signings. But, they've already signed Nolasco and Hughes to fairly hefty contracts. Why would they still be out there trying to come in second?
On the other hand, if they can get him at a good price, they might be willing to choke down the Pelfrey signing. If not, well, c'est la vie. That makes sense to me, especially if they could flip Correia for a half-decent prospect.
especially if they could flip Correia for a half-decent prospect
This, but also Pelfry if he has a good first half.
I'm thinking that Correia could go before the start of the season, but yeah, also Pelfrey. There are guys in the minors that are pretty close to coming up. Plus, there's a glut of guys out of options that are pretty close to Pelfrey. Guys are going to get cut that are pretty much Pelfrey minus the larger contract.
Hell, I think the Pelfrey signing didn't make a ton of sense even if they don't add another pitcher. I'm hoping that Gibson and Meyer are able to join the rotation at some point this summer, and I'd honestly rather watch Deduno or Worley than Pelf.
What is the chance that Worley makes the club? He's out of options. I hope he can, but man it was ugly last year. Given that Terry Ryan publicly said that they weren't expecting that they'd get "nothing" out of Worley (gotta love that bluntness), I figure he's a <50% shot to make it.
I'm still hoping that Deduno can see some time and be wildly and improbably effective this year
Worley has looked ugly so far this spring, too.
