Alison Krauss became very popular very quickly in 1994 at the age of 23 when she did a cover of Keith Whitley's "When You Say Nothing At All." To date it's still her only song that's cracked the Top 30, though her albums have always sold well, including her collaboration with Robert Plant. She has won more Grammy awards than any other woman in history. Even more than Derek Jeter.
Her voice is amazing.

Agreed. Even her duets with Robert Plant and Brad Paisley (among others) are just awesome. "Whiskey Lullabye" is one of the more touching songs I know.
