The parade of fun continues with a three-hour meeting preceding a nine-hour shift.

Perhaps I had Man U ranked too high
McGeady with a ridiculous goal and then a terrible referring decision give Leicester a corner and then a horrible clearance allows an equalizer.
Frickin Time Warner and not getting NBC Sports. At least I have my parents' login to use the online service.
oh my Leicester with a late equalizer, beautiful goal.
Annual library book sale this weekend. So far I've picked up two Bradbury hardcovers and two Mcdevitt hardcovers while Mrs. Runner loads up on crap historical romance.
Watching the American legion world series today. The team from Jacksonville inexplicably has chief Wahoo on their batting helmets. Ugh, Florida.
Wait, yep, it's on their hats too. Gross.
Bremer would absolutely be in heaven watching this. So many keys to innings here.
So rooting for the Mariners. King Felix deserves the playoffs. The playoffs deserve him.
Dustin Morse @Twins_morsecode
For the #MNTwins tonight, @DannySantana39 will be playing SS & @JordanSchafer in CF.
reasons to still watch Twins Baseball!
Depends on who's in left. If it's Nunez, I'd rather have Escobar in the lineup. And probably in LF for that matter.
Ugh, the American legion WS broadcasters are like listening to two Gardy's. Lots of gritty you're comments and tails battled off everywhere.
King Felix vs David Price tonight. Why is that game not on national tv?
On my way home from having a set of used tires put on my Ford Freestyle, BOTH of the front tires went flat. Got towed to a different place and they told me both had to be replaced and they didn't have used, so I had to buy two new. My wife called the first place and they said they'll give us "store credit" or something like that, but that was before we knew they had to be replaced. So we'll see what happens. I think I'm most frustrated about this being my first Saturday in a month that I didn't have to work and I spend most of it waiting it tire shops or on the side of the freeway in 100-degree heat waiting for a tow truck, which took longer than it said it would to get there. Not fun.

In their defense, SoCal is pretty far from Eagan.
Anyone read Bukowski? Is it worth it? I've heard some authors I like mention him, but I know next to nothing about his writing.
He's always intrigued me, but I've never read him. Maybe this would be a good chance to get in there cheap.
I read quite a bit of him in college. Post Office, Women, Factotum, Ham on Rye, and a couple books of short stories and poetry, including the awesomely titled Play the Piano Drunk Like a Percussion Instrument Until the Fingers Begin to Bleed a Bit. His work is misanthropic, depressing, and often laugh out loud funny. Sometimes, all at once. Not for the faint of heart.
Seconded on every bit of info here (including the love of the PtPDLaPIUtFBtBaB title).
no mention of the film Barfly???
I read Hollywood. Close enough.
Best part of the movie is the opening (and closing) montage of classic dive bar signage.

I annoyed my wife for a good year with my Mickey Rourke/Barfly voice after we saw that in the theaters.

sold.
I'm watching USA-BRA. Is it bad if, every time I see Klay Thompson I think how great it would be if he had a crap year and the Warriors missed the playoffs? I mean, I'm glad they were too stupid to make the trade for Love, but validation would be hilarious.
The thing that would make it better is if the Wolves ended up with a better win record than the Warriors.

Also, a bunch of his books are available as e-books for $2 today.

Virgil who??!!??
When your second-best starting pitcher for a DH is Jose Berrios, that's a pretty good DH.
Jorge Polanco owes him a beer or two
