Ah, posting from my phone. I said "remembet" yesterday and I'm sure there are plenty more typos to come.

Is spoons from an autocorrect mistake for spookymilk? It's funny how you can accept something as an inside joke and never think twice about what it means.
Yeah, I think it was autocorrect for "spooky"... I think.
as the original transgressor, I can confirm. Somebody enjoyed my fat phone thumbs and ran with it.
I thought it was from CH's post last winter about each of our MAN doppelgangers. Spooky said his was Punto and we were shortening it to Spoonto, and then just Spoons.
Nope. Spoonto came out of that autocorrect [edit: via the intermediary form "Spoons"]. But I like your story.
I am totally acknowledging DPWY for Spoonto however.
Considering it resulted in maybe the best banner we've ever had, I think that is a reasonable thing of you to do.
Thanks for the background. The more you know!
Pretty sure the Spoonto banner came out of that doppelganger discussion though.
I did not remember the doppelganger discussion, although I remembered bS saying "Spoons" like it was yesterday.
some of my finest work. I'm glad that my artistic endeavors have paid off.
It pales in comparison to your Citizenstine Chapel masterpiece. π
That was a stroke of, well, it was likely just a stroke.
So I took in a lot of Minnesota sports the past three days to unhappy effect and decided last night to watch the first episode of True Detective rather than the Wolves. It was a good choice. I'd purposely avoided reading details about the show knowing it'd be where my wife and I went after getting caught up on GoT...it took a conscious effort not to start that second episode at 10:15 last night.
We just started True Detective as well. Episode four is tonight.
Like I said, I knew almost nothing about the premise so I really enjoyed the set-up and character introductions of that first episode...excited to see where it goes.
It is First Monday. Now that I've given up the Big Library Chair, I can complain -- are we getting a book post? I actually read half a new book this month!!!111one111!!!
I shall see your one book and raise you another 1/3 of a book! (Unless you subtract the 1/2 book I read in November)
I was still pretty excited about the accomplishment.
Ummmmm . . . it may feel like a Monday, but last time I checked, today's actually Friday. π
bS did that in order to maintain the site's "half-bakedness" Needs to be renewed every year.
...don't you mean, "half-bakefness?"
Dude, yesterday and the day before were Recognized Goof-Off Days. Doesn't that make today Monday?
Also, I'm tricksy like that.
I've been had!
For me, the highlight of the Gophers-Mizzou game yesterday was Maxx...good luck in the pros bud.
Okay, I have a half-bakef favor to ask: I just purchased a ticket for the one spring training game that I'll be able to attend this year -- the rub is, when the ticket becomes available mid-February, it's and additional $16+ to have the ticket mailed to me! Is there anyone for which 212 Chicago Ave. S isn't too far out of the way and could pick it up and mail it? I can work out something to make it worth the while. Thanks
I work just a mile from there. Just give me the details.
That's great -- I'll be in touch next month when I get word that it's there, and we can work out the "exchange rate" -- Thanks!
work out? My rate is $17
If that's too expensive, you should see if Pepper and AMR can cross paths a few blocks east of their usual missed connection.
One of the more entertaining experiences in life is arguing with the cable company that the modern I have will work just fine and that I am ok with the risk of not being technical help from them for it.

The New York Knicks got whomped by Detroit tonight. The Knicks have the same amount of wins as the Wolves, but 4 more losses.

They'll each want $8, I'm sure
Yeah, but maybe DP will photograph it for free!
Holy oligopoly, Batman! Time-Warner and Comcast jack up cable modem rental fees.
