Sorry, AMR. I was inexplicably running 20 minutes early this morning. I'm certain it will never happen again.
And I was running 20 minutes late, which isn't that uncommon, that's when I see you on your regular route.

Thanks for the turn out, everyone. If anyone else wants to pile on, you're still more than welcome.
For the next round, I tally nibbish, brianS, SBG, The Dread Pirate, punmanbowler, Philosofer, Pepper, so far. bS requested June. I'll set the rest of the schedule based on a randomizer, but does anyone volunteer to go this month (19th)?
Last question: I'm going to set a recurring reminder for myself to send a reminder (I set a reminder to do it last night). Would people prefer 1-week or 2-weeks notice?
1 week for me. Any longer and I'd forget.

Wish you had a cap or t-shirt or other gear for an old minor league, Cuban League, Japanese League, or Mexican League ballclub? Ebbets Field Flannels' annual clearance sale is underway. I've bought a bunch of gear from them over the years (and visited their store in Seattle), and I'm always blown away by the quality of the materials and construction.
II'm not really feeliing weariing my Twiins cap around thiis year, so I'll probably be taking part in this sale. One of my good friends got me a Hiroshima Carp T for Christmas. It's awesome.
(I'm leaning Dayton Ducks or SF Seals)
As a owner of a New Orleans Pelicans hat I can tell you that it's an awesome product, and a classy way to dress up your helmet.
The Baton Rouge Red Sticks is awesome. Like The Los Angeles Angels (of Anaheim), only in French.
I was not that excited about their selection last year (which are now on clearance). I may just have to wait for full-price on the 2015 models.
That Hiroshima Carp T-shirt is a beauty though.
Or if I could wear all three of these caps at once:
I'm hoping they do a Chunichi Dragons cap at some point. I've wanted one for years, and it's my best option of getting a decent fitting cap with my enormous head.
Which style? Is there an old one with the Dragon? A quick google search showed me there's one with a teal-colored flea-shaped cartoon character.
Meat: That Pelicans cap would be one of my top preferences from what they've got. But I've no real strong connection other than "Ooh, a bird!" Apparently, it's a good thing I don't live in Portland.
The Ducks hat is kindof cool, too. But the brightness of the Royal and the grey fabric overall make me skeptical that I'd ever wear it.
The Bees hat is neat, too. But I know that my sweat patterns on the white would make it ugly very quickly. Maybe I'd get it if I were Mormon.
My best friend called last night about 12:45 asking for a ride to the ER. Severe stomach pain and vomiting. We got home around 5AM, and with no clear explanation to boot. At least the IV meds let her get to sleep and I got a good jump on my book this month.

I didn't see your review of Transmissions... until after their September show where they played through the album. Is there a freealonzo review of Clouds Taste Metallic I should see?
Nope, sorry. With The Flaming Lips, Transmissions is the only full album I like. Although CTM holds together pretty well. After that it's only specific songs, not albums that excite me about the band.
Also $50! That seems high.
The cost almost kept me from going the first time, may be enough to keep me away this time. But I love that they are doing another album.
I just wanted to say quick that I saw the original Transmissions tour at First Ave. With a comp. So many christmas lights...
Me too.
And The Soft Bulletin is their best album by a rather wide margin. (Saw that tour, too. Fewer Xmas lights, but a hand puppet and judicious use of some stage blood far more impressive than the bloated spectacle they would eventually become. )
An update since I've tweeted about him enough the last few weeks: #MNTwins expected to watch Johan pitch today. Saw him last week too.— Darren Wolfson (@DarrenWolfson) January 13, 2015
I guess it wouldn't hurt to give him a minor league deal, but it sure seems like the Twins are really stuck in the past. You would think they would want to embrace the future with a good minor league system.
This would only bother me if signed to a major league deal. Bringing back Santana on a minor league deal is fine. Bringing him back to he could be a pitching coach/mentor would be great. Someone has to carry on the legacy of his changeup.
If he was a setup man / mentor, I could see that. He may be at a point where he's most effective in short situations, if it can help his velocity / endurance / health.
Viewed in isolation, it's not that it's such a bad move. I'm just getting really tired of all the retreads and reclamation projects. It'd be nice to see them spending that time and energy on trying to sign real ballplayers.
Here is your list of 50 point games by a Timberwolves player
Mo Williams : 52
Corey Brewer: 51
Kevin Love: 51
Mo Points.
Flaming Mo.
well played.
My neck still hurts from the double take I did when I saw that on the Twitters last night.
I refuse to watch the Wild until they get a goaltender. Maybe a new coach. This is the worst I've seen them play, I think perhaps ever.
Was bouncing between the Wild & Wolves games last night until the beginning of the third period, then the Penguins scored and I went back & stuck with the Mo Show.
My buddy was given tickets to the Wild game next Monday, so I'll be there...but otherwise, yeah, something needs to change. I would hope that Fletcher is just as worried about his future as Yeo. Leipold has an awful lot of money sunk into an 18-win club.
Beau. So....did you watch them last night?
Gophers now 0-5 in the B1G. 4 of those losses by 5 points or less, 2 of them on jump shots made by opponents in the final seconds of a tie game.
Pretty impressive comeback though. I just had the game on in the background, then noticed the Barn was getting loud and it was only a 7 point game. If only the Gophers had another .5 seconds on the clock at the end.
