It was pretty blatant wish fulfillment, but in the best possible way. I loved pretty much the whole thing (especially Ron's arc). I only started watching the show a little over a year ago (I caught the last two seasons live), but I've grown to really have an affection for the writing, the setting, and obviously the characters. That the show went out on a sentimental high was the best possible endgame for me.
I had a few friends grumble about the finale because it wasnt funny enough. I can see that, but I disagree. The show tied up all the loose ends last week and this was just a victory lap of good feelings. I loved it.
It was heavy on in-jokes and wish fulfillment, but that didn't bother me at all. I still laughed aloud a good number of times. A victory lap from a show that deserved one.
Worst part of having the last flight home for the evening cancelled is the 6:05 AM flight the next morning.
I wanted to quickly thank all the Citizens who have donated to our Climb for the Cure dealy, and also make a last call, just in case anyone is still able to donate. Right now our team is within striking distance of having raised $10,000, and I'm not too far from my goal either. And, more importantly, from all accounts, the CF Foundation is relatively close to actually creating a cure too!
HBH polls close at noon.
in with eight minutes to spare!
So, last night's Parks and Rec finale...
