Mike Napoli went zero for eight yesterday. Searchable?

Small Sample Size Theater: As a team, the Twins slash line is .186/.261/.233/.493 OPS+ 47
And what's that slash line minus ii?
.194/.252/.248/.500
someone may want to double check my math.
I'd hate to see what it is minus Mauer.
0-8 or worse has happened 167 times.
Only one player has gone 0-11. Charlie Pick in 1920. The game ended in a tie after 26 innings.
Twins who have done it? Thompson, Darwin, and Tovar.
What would you like searched for? Worst 0-fer in a game?
What Beau typed.
I actually typed this up while talking to nibbish yesterday and he went ahead and did it, so I knew by this morning. We had some fun at Charlie Pick's expense.

I might be, at that. I wondered how so many folks had access to this.
TIMBERWOLVES RACE TO THE BOTTOM
67 Losses: 1991-92, 2009-10
65 Losses: 2010-11
63 Losses: 1992-93, 2014-2015
Even though the Timberwolves can't get to 67 losses, they have 66 losses firmly in their sight and are heading that way with grim resolve. Tonight, it's GSW on the schedule. The Wolves have lost 9 straight and 20 of 23. They are 19 point dogs in Oakland.
I finally waved the white flag last week. I just couldnt take anymore. Havent watched since.
It's great and everything that the Wolves have some young talent and another top draft pick (and I like what Flip has done in each of the last two drafts). However, it would be kind of fun to see the club actually win some games once in a while.
So, assuming the Woofs have one of the first three picks, what are your preferences?
I am suspicious of Karl Anthony Towns. Seemed awfully moody the rare times I saw him play. I think I like Okafor better, but willing to be convinced otherwise. Or they could trade down and get someone like Willie Cauley-Stein.
I don't watch much college basketball, but I saw that dude from Notre Dame just destroy Towns. You have to play defense in the NBA.
That was a really good list. It's too bad Belgian yeast strains weren't allowed, because Ale Asylum's Bedlam is way, way better than their entry on this list.
Also, I found some Surly in Kenosha on my way home today. I was quite surprised by that.
I think I will drink #22 tonight.
speaking of which, I had a Number 22 Porter tonight, as well as this from the same brewery. A friend of mine has a "Beer of the Month" subscription, and that brewery was included this month. The porter was "meh," the golden ale a "meh-plus".
In honor of this list, I went and grabbed some Founders Centennial.
I was glad to see Wrought Iron IPA on that list. Abita tends to be a bit too sweet for my tastes, but that IPA is delicious. In fact, I'm going to go get some to enjoy with my smoked salmon dinner.
Serves them right for going to the Twins' doctors to diagnose it.
Well, the Newmark Diamondbacks didn't win but they did a much better job throwing strikes. Trey didn't pitch, but he singled and grounded out with the bases loaded. That was the biggest at-bat. He hit the ball right up the middle, but unfortunately right to the pitcher.
Jared Weaver is basically a junkball pitcher at this point in his career. But he struck out 3 Royals in the first inning.
Yeah, it is impressive what he is able to do with so little velocity anymore. His delivery helps him, but he still is a good pitcher. Had a 7.1 K/9 last year, just slightly below his career 7.5.

More than 0-fer 8, I found Lawrie's 4K on 12 pitches fascinating

or be James Harden.
Lots of interesting stuff on this list of the best American IPAs.

Mankato and Bemidji colleges played a baseball game. Let's just say, there were a lot of runs scored.
