  1. Heading to the Twins game with the boy. Section 112. Free bomber hat. Have to get there early.

  2. Capacitor arrived in the mail today, and garage door is now back in operation. Lawn is trimmed, as are trees and shrubs, and some mulch spread. Mrs. Runner is concerned that I'm taxing my hip, and I told her to heck with that -- I'm getting rid of it anyway, so I'm going to beat the heck out of it.

  3. Trey had three hits and struck out three in 1 scoreless inning pitched to lead the Newmark Diamondbacks to a 17-9 victory over the Dodgers. He got the save because it was 12-9 in the 4th when he pitched. Two of the strikeouts came on changeups. He gave up a couple hits and walked a batter to load the bases before he struck out the cleanup hitter on a 3-2 fastball after one or two foul balls. We scored our max five runs in the bottom of the inning to put the game away. The game was called after 4 due to time limit.

Our No. 3 hitter is 11 years old in his first year playing organized baseball and he hit a home run over the fence on a line drive today. It was the first one over the fence I've seen or heard of in Minors. The Majors hit them all the time. Most of the best 10 and 11 years olds are in the Majors this year. Our No. 3 hitter would be if he had played last year, I'm sure.

In the game, we were down 3-0 and 8-4 and came back to take a 9-8 lead. They tied it at 9-9, but we then took a 12-9 lead. Our No. 3 hitter got a two-out, two-run single to put us ahead 11-9. His home run in the first inning was with two on, so he had five RBIs in the game and got the game ball.

  4. I'm listening to the Fort Myers game on a Charlotte station, since Fort Myers is not broadcasting the game tonight. Charlotte's games are apparently on a contemporary Christian music station. There's absolutely nothing wrong with that, I just never heard of a contemporary Christian station carrying baseball games before.

    1. I want to say that one of the St. Cloud Christian stations used to carry some sort of local baseball at one point. I don't know if I'm misremembering, and I don't know if that's the case any longer.

    1. But what two consenting adults in Arkansas do in the privacy of their own homes does concern him.

    2. Sitting in front of his stall in the Twins clubhouse before Sunday's game against the White Sox, Hunter maintained that his tweet was taken the wrong way.

``Come on, man. I would be crazy to support something like that,'' said Hunter, who has been married to his wife, Katrina, for 18 years. ``If anyone was upset about what I wrote, I apologize. But that was not what I was talking about.''

Hunter, who has landed it hot water for some comments he's made in the past, said he's done with twitter.

      ``Instagram only,'' he said.

Hopefully, he means it that he won't be on Twitter anymore.
