Along with first-rounder Tyler Jay, Cody continues a recent run of power arms the Twins have popped in the draft. This is by design.
“We’ve kind of been trending to power arms,” Johnson said. “I would say it’s some philosophy that we’ve gone to the last few years. A lot of our scouts are starting to scout that way as well.”
In round 6, #MNTwins drafted Cal RF Christopher Paul. Or, as I like to call him, CP6.
Twins got a guy with big-time power in eighth round. Of course, the question is whether he'll make enough contact in the majors. But he was still ranked 62nd (by BA, I think), and it doesn't sound like there will be any signability issues.
Never seen someone score on a walk with first base open.
If anyone is looking for something to do during the day Saturday, there's an Aussie Rules match at Lake Nokomis at 1PM. The Minnesota Freeze are hosting the Des Moines Roosters. I'm tentatively attending, so I'll be able to help let you know what is happening.
Been looking at jobs (...uh-gain...) and it always sucks.
However, thinking about things while I was looking at listing after listing, I think I'd like to be a bike mechanic. I always enjoy giving our bikes tune-ups and I built two from scratch, more or less. I assume this is the sort of position where you just beg around until someone takes a chance on you. Might look into going that route.
A family friend was a mechanic at Penn Cycle in Richfield until about two weeks ago. if you want his info, shoot me a message on the Book of Faces
Trying to add voice input to Swiftkey on my android phone but getting "item not found" - any idea what's up with that?
am in Minny this week. Decided to close out the safe deposit box at the local bank as an unneeded expense. I found a cassette tape I had made a while back and put there.
It's Herb Carneal and the Twins vs chisox April 16 1995. Beats the Nono underway on the tibn.
Fun.
Don't know if we have any cassette tape players left in the house that still function.
Also a Nono broken up by Chuck Knoblach double, Scott Leius single and 2 bagger homer by Marty Cordova
Jorge Polanco definitely coming up to #MNTwins, I'm told. Mientkiewicz hinted at, & the sign of him not playing tonight also an indicator.
I have had this thing lately where I am waking up at abut 4am. I hate it.
better than 2:30AM
ID the AU
Here's your chance to put the finger on the Twins player (current or former) with the following signature:
I'll try
I don't think I have the power to embed tweets, so I'll just have to link: amphibious pitcher!
You should be able to. Just paste the URL of the tweet and make sure there's a blank line before and after.
Hmmmm . . .

bit at the end makes all the difference.Third time's the charm?
Thank you, sean!
He's really good at diving for the ball.
Facing an ambidextrous batter and confusing everyone.
Wow! Does he have some crazy special glove that works for either hand?
Yeah, it's a six-finger glove with two sections for the webbing. Here he is in spring training flipping the glove.
Here's a bit more on it/them.
Fascinating. Thanks, guys.
Didn't see this noted anywhere:
(That's how you do it, Pepper)

Billy Hamilton still fast as hell

Interesting. Who leaves?
Hoping for Duensing or Nunez.
AND THERE WAS almost GREAT REJOICING
Eddie Rosario on paternity leave for a few days, it sounds like.
Kind of weird to call him up just for that as someone noted:
They could always remove someone else when Rosario comes back (*cough*Stauffer or Nunez*cough*).
Just remembered today but option years are used when a player is sent down to the minors, not when they're called up.
Another great defensive effort by Cleveland. Curry finally showed up to make it a nail-biter.
GSW needs to come out hot on thursday. I would like to see a lot more David Lee on the floor. He made a huge difference.
