I'll see more of America today than I've ever managed to see in a single day, as long as we stay on schedule.

Good to see the whole spookymilk gang for an evening. Safe travels!
Alex Meyer sent back to AAA after only two appearances. No report on who will come up or be activated.
Making way for Santana to come back from the suspension list, I believe.
If so, that would seem to indicate that whoever is getting bumped from the rotation is going to the bullpen, rather than to AAA. I approve.
The Twitters machine says May to the bullpen. For now.
Which is all right, I guess. At least he has the ability to strike a person or two out.
May hasn't pitched that badly, but it was pretty much the move that had to be made. They weren't going to take Hughes, Pelfrey, or Gibson out of the rotation, and Milone has been pitching really well since he came back from AAA. But given that until recently we were struggling to find one or two legitimate major league starters, it's a good problem to have. We don't exactly have an ace, but at least every pitcher in the rotation looks like he belongs there. And again, I'm happy that they sent him to the pen rather than to AAA.

Rhett Bollinger @RhettBollinger
Molitor said May's move to bullpen isn't permanent. Also a nice way to give him a break in the short-term and limit his inning total.
That's vague enough to mean almost anything. I never expected it to be "permanent" in the sense that he'd never start again. But if there are no injuries and all the starters continue to pitch well, I could see him staying in the bullpen for the rest of this season unless there's a doubleheader or something.
Yeah, I think Molitor was just trying to make sure it was known that the Twins like May as a starter and this was done out of excess instead of May being "demoted" for ineffectiveness. This gives the Twins someone who can actually eat up innings and I would like the Twins to use him in an extra-inning game once they've already used Perkins and Fien (although in a road game, they probably would "save" Perkins for a save situation, especially if he's pitched recently).
I'll repost from yesterday because the only response I got was a semi-smart aleky response from meat, and he's a thousand miles away.
Anyone up for watching the World Cup final on Sunday?
Miguel Cabrera is expected to miss 6 weeks with a calf strain. Interesting that he's never been hurt until the day after Sano makes his major league debut. Hmmm...
Fun with XSSS: Sano already has the Twins' best OPS (.875), but I wouldn't expect him to maintain a .750 BABIP. However, that double last night was crushed!
so, to celebrate 'Murica, I grilled burgers today, made potato salad (non-traditional: room-temp with a lemony-dijon-dill dressing), and grilled green beans (tossed with oil and salt, grilled in a grill basket, then dressed with a few shakes of chile oil and sesame oil; zomg!). We also had corn on the cob, but forgot it in the pot. so, I guess that will be a late, light supper.
and the mrs made blueberry cobbler with canadian blueberries. nomnom.
Canadian blueberries? Why do you hate America?
Canada is not part of 'Murica? Damn.
I blame Costco. That, and it's apparently a bit late for blueberries south of the border??
Mexico?
Not if you lived in MN, you slab-dweller you.
Ha!
I think I've really started something with this grilled green bean business. I don't have a grill basket, but I'm going to grill a handful of beans from the garden tonight and every one that falls through will make me shed a tear. I am going to try that sesame and chili oil thing though.
Yes, yes you have started something with the grilled green bean business. I am now a very ardent fan, and these beans were a major hit.
LMA makes it more official that he's taking his talents to South Texas.
