Live in Philly, 2006. Epic in scope. His childhood buddy Micky Melchiondo* plays some wicked guitar on this.
Kind of a cult figure from Pennsylvania, I was first turned on to Mr. Harford when Peter Jesperson used to play his record Be Headed on the old REV105. It's long been an unsung favorite of mine.
*Dean Ween
(and yes, that's Gene Ween Aaron Freeman on keys singing backup.) You can stream more of CH at his website. Start with Be Headed.
As luck would have it, Harford was playing at the Mercury Lounge in NYC during one of my visits back in '96 or '97. The place wasn't even half full, but he and his band played like it was a sold-out Madison Square Garden gig. Dean Ween was was in tow and his guitar playing was spectacular all night. A real treat, that was.
Bootsy ... enough with the bonus content linkage, I can't keep up!
