I'm anxious for my new batch of brew to be ready to drink. Everything went smoothly, so here's hoping the taste reflects that.

Speaking of brown beer, I just had a couple of these last night. Very, very good, but I'm not really a fan of the marketing.
I just bottled an Irish Red. I am also curious, though a few things didn't go smoothly. For the first time in my brewing, I didn't sterilize enough bottles in the initial go. I am curious to see how these sanitized on the fly bottles taste.
What did you use to sanitize? I've done on the fly santizing with StarSan before to no noticeable differences, so I think you'll be fine.
My first go around was the sanitize cycle in the dishwasher without soap, which works well. The last bottles I sanitized with StarSan, but did it very quickly and in a haphazard manner. Usually, I'm very careful when I sanitize any brewing equipment, so my curiosity is really if I can get away with less care. In any event, the majority of the batch should be good - it was just 6 or 7 bottles that I had to sanitize on the fly.
My procedure for bottles is to fill my bottling bucket with StarSan and fill up six bottles, then dump them out and put them on a bottling tree. I've done this with 6+ month old StarSan before with no problems. The stuff is really amazing.
I only had enough mixed up for the bottle caps, so I didn't get the bottles completely submerged. Basically, I got a few inches per bottle and swished it around to (hopefully) cover the entire surface, hence my curiosity.
Also speaking of beer, I need to make a recipe for this weekend. I haven't decided what to make yet.
I can't wait till I have room for my own brewing equipment.
Oh, it's been a busy week.
I'm going to send out ballots for HBH this weekend, completed write-ups or no.

Hicks activated from the DL and Logan Darnell promoted to the Twins.
Getting excited for our N.CA vacation trip next week: Sonoma Valley wine region and a day in SanFran. Looks like we're not escaping our hot weather, though.
