I just wanted to thank you guys for your kind words the other day, even if puns were a funny way of showing it. π This is a special place, and I'm glad it's here.
Just got tickets to Craig Fergusson next Thursday at the Women's club of Minneapolis. He's probably one my top 3 favorite comedians.
Awesome. He is fantastic.
Mrs. Runner and I saw him a while back; of course he had to mention the irony of being here during that time, what with his last name.
First attempt at passport application is a failure. They wouldn't accept the birth certificate that ND issued me when I needed it for my driver's permit (they'd never seen one like it). Getting my MN driver's license took me 4 tries (I passed the test on first try, I just had issues with calculating parking time into their business hours, getting to the correct site, and valid ID again - they wouldn't accept a ND driver's license as valid ID, but they DID accept my wonky birth certificate). I'm really hoping I can do this in 2 tries.
You're starting to sound suspicious, ben--if that is your real name.
I'm beginning to question whether it is.
Ben Stolen?
By far the most common thing an adult would say to me as a kid was 'How ya been, Ben?'
I always hated that.
Yeah, that can be pretty corny.
...
Last name "Lauten"
Ben Lauten.
careful there AMR ... they're already watching this place enough as it is.
I registered for the last 7 credits of my undergraduate degree yesterday. Feels really, really weird.
Just saw this - congrats Zack! Feels like you were just beginning your "back to school" experience!
It kind of does! But it'll end up being 3Β½ years when it's all said and done. I probably could've got done a bit sooner if I more carefully picked classes, but this will work out well enough. Don't know what I'm going to do with all my free time with only 7 credits next semester!
start voting in the HBH? π
pfft - he's still got four days before he needs to do that.
Why has there been no mention of Guy Fawkes yet? We're all slacking.
Initial post may have been on the half-baked side. Didn't want to miss my opportunity.
You mean it's "V for Vendetta Mask Guy Day"?
Definitely one of my top 250 holidays.
No, you mean "Anonymous Day".
I will celebrate by browsing the dankest of memes.
Aramis Ramirez retired. That could mean a better market for RH power-hitting third basemen if the Twins are looking to trade Plouffe.
Random question to the pro-wrestling set around here ... Who did a gesture where they held out their left hand, palm up, slapped it with their right hand and then continued the motion around in a circle, ending with both arms outstretched to the left (right arm across the face, parallel with the left) and index fingers pointing towards their opponent?
Don't know that one but had a buddy in college who did a pretty good Claw (Baron von Raschke).
Saw this on the book of face today, from Aaron Dilloway:

I should know this, but I don't. I'll probably keep thinking about it nonstop until I remember, though. So that's the good news.
I still can't fathom how they ever thought that was a good idea.
I see Basim Sabri wanted to buy it as well.
Perhaps he backed off when he realized how much he was about to commit to just being a pain in the ass. (I can relate to the urge.)
Sano will get OF work in the Dominican League. Molitor told me he's thought plenty about Sano in the OF. #mntwins
he's already had the TJ, so why not try him out at every position?
That just tells me that Buxton isn't starting the season with the Twins, or at least they don't think he will. Unless they're going to make Sano a super utility guy and have him rotate 3rd, 1st, RF with Plouffe, Mauer, Hicks, Buxton, Rosario and Sano all getting 1 DH day a week.
Sano a super utility guy
So they're not going after Zobrist then, eh?
He's the new Killebrew.
Every time I start to regain a little confidence in the Twins' front office, I read something like this.
Contributing member of society! Awright!
The ol' cold-shoulder, I see. That's ok. I'll proceed with high-fiving batboys and water coolers.
Patience dude, patience...you can't force these things.
Wait til you see what we did to the ball.
Hey-o!
Next time, may I suggest this image in honor of maybe my favorite made-up holiday of all: International Stout Day.

Dude, act like you've been there before.
