We ate at India Garden for New Years' Eve, and for the first time in a while, it was spicy enough. We've come a long way from a couple trips ago, where a (very Caucasian) girl referred to baked naan and dipping sauce as "chips and dip."

Just found out Little League has changed it's age rules once again. This is like the third year in a row, but it was to fix an error from the previous rule changes. Basically a couple years ago, they changed the rules so that kids' playing ages are what they're actual age is at the end of the year, so if you're 12 on Dec. 31, you are considered 12 the whole year. The problem is, is that kids who played at age 11 under the old rules, were considered age 13 the next year and would skip age 12, which would be their best chance to make an 11-12 all-star team that would have a chance to go to Williamsport. Because of this LL grandfathered in several years and then the younger kids were immediately changed since they would not be trying to make a Majors (10-11-12) team. The problem was, they had a gap in the switch and it made my wife and I upset because it included Trey. The way they did it, he would be considered 11 one year and 13 the next since he didn't switch immediately and the grandfathering rule didn't extend long enough. Last year, LL switched to the age cutoff being Aug. 31 instead of Dec. 31, but didn't add the extra year to grandfather in. Trey was born in June, so he still had the same problem. This year, LL finally has added the extra year to grandfather in the last of the kids affected. We just found that out today, so we are very happy. This assumes that Trey wants to play then. He has said that once he is able to play on his Middle School team (which is during the winter), he doesn't want to play LL in the spring. That will happen next year, so we'll see if he changes his mind, which he is prone to do.
Did someone say spice?
Needs to be pouring out I think.
