I can't accept my job officially because the electronic internal job site isn't working. Great.

Third appearance in a row for Lew Zealand on The Muppets, complete with speaking part and fish throwing. The new focus on more muppet performances is certainly a step in the right direction.
Agreed. It can be adult oriented without being cynical. I like the new direction so far.
I first started the show last week. I'm nowhere near the shift. Curious to see what's coming.
I watched the first few episodes and wasn't grabbed, even though I wanted to be. Maybe I should pick it up again at a certain episode number?
about three episodes or so ago they intentionally began focusing more on the muppet ensemble
Thanks!
I met a guy on the bus this morning who read Infinite Jest on his own last year. The conversation was encouraging.
Also, I recently got to footnote 61, which includes a line that seems apropos:
". . . characterized by a stubborn and possibly intentionally irritating refusal of different narrative lines to merge into any kind of meaningful confluence . . . "
I've recently made a small amount of progress (10 pages?). I like what I'm reading, but the many threads make it tough.
The bit about the suicide attempt, and depression and anxiety, and how it really feels. That... struck a chord.
Like spooky, I'm getting a new job. Unlike spooky, the process has been fairly smooth and I'm not moving anywhere.
I'm transferring from the semi-corporate position I've had in Sioux Falls for the last year to become the Operations and Maintenance Manager back at the first ethanol plant that I started at in 2004. Shorter commute, less travel (no four-day trips to Emmetsburg Iowa!), more responsibility and a healthy pay raise. I'm really looking forward to getting to do plant operations stuff again.
Congrats! Sounds like a nice risk/reward combination to me
The future SiL lives in Emmetsburg. And I went to the Wild Rose on my 21st to gamble a bit.
Heh, I've spent way too many nights at the Wild Rose hotel while working coverage at the plant, and I've met plenty of locals. I won't miss going there a couple times a month.
It's possible you may have met my FSiL then. She worked there for a time as sort of a greater-type position.
So, she's a supervisor?

Maybe just conceptual[ly]...
Congrats!
Congratulations!
Best of luck in the new position, sir.
Was driving past the University of Hartford Campus on the way to work earlier this week and saw a sign that said 'Hartford Collage'.
I hope it's some kind of campus program pun and not a millinial speling mistak.
