Thats crazy!
Also, it took Phil Rizzuto like a minute and then it dawned on him it was a triple play π
My dad had to explain it to me. I was 10.
Today's front page of the sports section in the Strib looks familiar.
Last nights Dubs-Thunder games is why NBA is 100x better than college hoops. The drama comes from clutch play, not the fluke of a team not being able to inbound the ball 5 times in the last 90 seconds.
I love the drama of close games in the NCAA tournament. But, yea, when the NBA is good, it is very, very, very good. And the overall level of play is far superior.
The problem is that you have to sit through numerous duds to get to that point. The NCAA tournament has games played at the same time so you can just flip to the good one.
Joe Mauer's last 5 games: 476/542/905
I love SSST.
What a strange and terrible story. Instead of a stereotypical tale of a professional athlete assaulting a spouse, significant other, or ex, this one appears to be of the professional athlete breaking into the wrong apartment on the way to committing said assault, and getting killed by the occupant in a case of self-defense.
Clayton Kershaw-Bartolo Colon matchup on ESPN tonight.
He just struck out his 100th of 2016.
...he's walked FIVE so far this season.
insanity.
this is like Greg Maddux circa 1994-95 (doesnt walk anyone, doesnt give up much hits or runs), but with more strikeouts.
Pedro circa 1999-2000.
For some reason I though Pedro walked more batters. I was wrong.
And you think the Twins have a shaky pen. Kershaw at 105 pitches heading to the eighth and Dave Roberts leaves him in to coax another inning out of him.

I still cant believe that happened.
It reminds me of a play from a game I attended. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=4_7_rWWxJjo

"Pelicans guard shot dead in apartment break-in"
apparently he was Shabazz Muhammad's cousin.
Derp.
We are running a tight ship here

Apparently rightfully so.
